Help me decide!!!

OK, first off let me say I am a huge AMG fan and I love or should I say lust over the CLK BS.
Here is my dilemma, I currently own an '06 SLK55 AMG with only 24k on the clock. The wifey loves the conv top! (duh). I on the other hand still like the SLK, but have fallen in Love with the BS...

Clearly I'm on a quest for BHP. So in order for me to afford the BS the SLK must go!
OK, so here is where it gets interesting: even if I sell or trade the SLK I have to come up with significant dinero's to get the BS or I can keep the SLK and with the same or most likely less cash buy a slighty used ZO6 and have both!

And, well here is another possible scenario: Keep the SLK55 and drop a Kleeman kit in her and get some extremely respectful ponies and be "THE" sleeper in these here parts!

Decisions, decisions!!!

Thoughts????

MJ

The Z06 build quality is garbage ( ex C6 owner ) and is still a depreciating asset..
The SLK even with a Kleeman kit will also be a depreciating asset.
The BS is truly unique and will probably depreciate less then the aforementioned...

Economics aside..it's one very special vehicle..
In my forty five years of owning many unique cars, the BS has to be at the top of the list..
I'm typically not a buyer of newer Mercs as even the AMG's are "common"..
The BS is as "one off ' as you can get in a "streetable" race car...

If you are looking for "exclusive", then the BS delivers above and beyond

Get rid of SLK, buy BS and get a hgh mileage Porsche Boxster for cheap so the wife still has a convert.

Exactly what I was thinking! The power in the SLK55 kinda scares her a bit so a Boxter should be a perfect fit for her!

Stand by for update!

Get a 2nd job, keep the SLK, buy the BS and buy the Z06. Having all three will make the BS all that much sweeter.

Seriously, I am not a fan at all of the SLK. Having had a C6Z, they are fun but you will not be in the same league if you start looking at details. Orange peel, crap brakes, *****ty interiors and GM service will remind you of why. They are fast. Very fast and I really did love the gear ratios.

Keep the SLK becuase you are going to take a bath on it if you trade it or sell it. I would lease a BS to save yourself some cash each month over a traditional purchase/finance deal. Once the SLK is paid off convert the BS lease into a purchase option or just continue with the lease payments until the lease term matures and then if you are still in love with the BS take advantage of the purchase option (you can usually talk them down a few grand) . Im not too sure about CPO lease costs on a BS but I have a friend who just leased a low mileage used CL63 for 39 mo for about 25% less out of pocket each month versus a 60 finance/purchase on the exact same vehicle. Might be something you want to look into or consider.

BS plus Boxster is what we have. My wife tends to want her own fleet, so when I kept my ttX50 and added the BS, we added a boxster (tip) to her stable (She otherwise chooses between an A6 and a Lexus GX430). There are a lot of summer nights when we take the boxster to a movie or dinner. It's perfect for relaxed cruising. AS

This makes me feel a little better about my BS lease. When I offered to transfer mine a while back I got boatloads of people saying finance would be way less. It might still be now that the prices have dropped, but let me have my dream.
