C'mon, those would fit your car perfectly!
If not, fender rolling has become a science. Go ahead, you'll be happy you did!

19's are the perfect fit for the BS - 20's, although they look good, do not perform as well and are prone to bending. My buddy with an E63 has 20" HRE's and hates them...he's bent them at least a dozen times in the last thre years.

They are to expensive for me to have to modify my car to put them on.

I agree with LZH, 19's is the way to go. The problem with 20's is you have very limited tire choices. If I recall correctly, there is only a 255 for the front available, which is a stretch for a 9.5" wheel. Traction is another issue..............20's look good, but that's about it.

BTW, I doubt they are lighter than my 19" HRE monobloks

19's also have less rotational mass making turn in quicker and braking more efficent.
I think everyone will agree that a 19" wheel performs better than a 20" wheel and some would even like to run an 18" at the track.

I put the 20s from my SL55 on the BS and honestly I don't notice a significant difference in ride quality b/c the BS is so stiff out of the box.....

This topic is a very heated debate on many forums size vs. weight vs. aesthtics. While it's true you will lose some performance and have a somewhat harsher ride by moving to a larger (usually heavier) wheel it is my contention that unless you're a diehard stop light street racer or use the larger/heavier wheels on the track most people would never notice the small losses. Myself included. My BS will still smoke most any car stoplight to stoplight, I can light 'em up at will, the ride is still acceptable for a car I don't drive everyday (could say that about the BS with 19s too....) and I think 20s look great on the BS. Just my opinion.....

Good point, Chuck....The only time you will really notice a difference is on the track. For street duty, you really have to be pushin it to see any discernible difference.

I remember when 18's were considered HUGE LOL, The first time I squeezed a set of 18's under the fenders of my slightly lowered 1995 M3 people said I was nuts...now were are talking about 20's

Bottom line, bigger usually looks better, buta set of lightweight 18's would be optimum for performance. If my BS was a dedicated track car I would be running 18's on it and as many of you guys have already stated the 19's are a nice compromise, can't go wrong either way on a BS IMO....You know it's only a matter of time before somebody turns a Black Series into a "DONK" and puts a set of 24's on it to roll through the ghetto

....hopefully they never get that cheap! Aren't the wheels usually worth more than the car?

RE: Wheel Sizes/Availability
In the past, (this was probably 1-1.5 years ago).....

I found it difficult to locate 19" tires for a friend who needed a set.
20" have always seemed to be fairly readily available.... ??

And yes, for the most part, you are correct.
The South FLA and ATL guys LOVE that look though....
From what I have read (for the hell of it a while ago) - quite often, they DO spend a lot of money on those cars... custom paint, beefed up motor & chrome, all custom interior, big rims, etc etc.

Some have even quoted prices of 100k + and said they would rather have their unique Chevy than a MB or Bentley. Get the f**k out of here, not me !!
