Black Series Price in 2013
2013 is the year i graduate from college and as a gift my father said he'd help put a large down payment for a car of my choice. I have always idolized this car and hope there will still be some for sale by 2013. I plan to also get the evosport headers and exhaust as well as ECU and some other upgrades as I see fit. What do you guys think the price will be for the black series come Summer 2013? My fear is that the price bottoms out or even rises due to rarity. If so what is the best alternative to the BS? M6?

Last year, I saw a couple of them go through the auction for $65k to $70k... it's not too far out there to expect the price to drop to $50k in 2 more years from now

If anything the price will start going back up on these cars. We've already seen that in recent selling prices for clean low mileage examples.

50k is probably in the ballpark, but I think the lower mileage cars will be going for a lot more. My lease is up in 2013 and the residual is 49k if that means anything.

The price in 2013 will be equal to the dow divided by the US unemployment divided by the odds Obama will sit for a second term multiplied by the odds we will be still trying to figure out what Fabio said...

I love the CLKBS but I think they will start to fall quite a bit, in general, by 2013.
As they age, more things will have to be repaired and replaced--thus hurting the resale.
AMG has already pulled them from their AMG Academy (bummer for me because I am going in May) and I always wanted to drive one.
Now low mile, impeccable examples will demand some premium, but their will be fewer and fewer of these!
Good luck OP--there's not much comparable to this car, especially in the $50k range--closest AMG will be a 2010 P31 C63 in 2013

If I do get the BS, would it still be wise to add the evosport headers, exhaust etc.? Or am I just wasting my time with that?

Look forward and get Black Series C63 if they make one (which they announced the are).
Price of anything will be based on demand and availability obviously.

Hmmmm...what about a 2010 C63 without p31 with a tune? CF trim doesn't do anything if utilized as just trim...Ornamental, right?

Why wait? Here, thread link, you already claimed you could afford one. That must have been in highschool by your admission above.

Yes you were right about that. I was in high school when I posted that link. Truly the only reason I posted that thread was to get an honest opinion from someone. I dont think someone would provide a legitimate answer to a question like that if the person/kid didnt have sufficient funds or was still in high school. Of course I dont have the money, I just wanted a clear cut answer. It was foolish of me and I do apologize.
