Jim, I see you brought the ride height up in the rear . What are your settings for rebound and compression on the shocks?

Rear springs are not stock and I purchased an extra set of the OEM rear shocks/struts and had them completely revalved and softened up for lower compression and slower rebound so my settings would be meaningless to anyone running stock shocks.

What is it about these friggin cars that we can't get them to run lower 10s. That car has PLENTY of hp.....

Love Benz, but just gets frustrating sometimes.

Great runs Jim!!

If anyone can do it....it's you!

Can't wait till Fall!

Just saw your post. I wasn't pumping you for info on your set up . Probably should have better formulated my post to you. My question was about all around settings. What I mean is, have you slowed the front rebound to help transfer weight to the rear?

I have a question How fast can you run at 66 before you need some sort of safety equipment?

Route 66 is notorious for following the NHRA rulebook to the letter. I got kicked out last year because my racing harnesses were FIA approved and not SFI approved..FIA certification is actually better and tougher to attain but the rules state SFI so they booted me. This year I have been dealing with the head tech guy and he is actually quite resonable, he has approved me for 10.50 and 144.99mph. I have a roll bar but not a full cage but besides that my car meets all NHRA requirments for a 10.50. I will most likely go quicker than 10.5 in the very near future, I will have to cross that bridge when I get to it and see what the tech guys will allow, I really don't want to put a full cage in the car. There's a test & tune this Saturday at Route 66, I will be there weather permitting.

Yes, front and rear settings have been adjusted to aid in weight transfer and traction. I don't even have a problem posting my settings on here, I hope I didn't come across like that, my point was only that if I post "2 clicks on the rear" that it would be different for everyone else because my valving, my rear rebound is sslllllllooooowwwwwwww with this set-up.
