Track day at Houston MSR

Took the car to Houston MSR in Angleton this weekend. Wow, I was impressed, the car performs very well and very easy to drive fast. Great brakes and handling. Here is a video.

I could only take a few minutes of that video. Your instructor was completely micromanaging your drive, he wouldn't shut up. Maybe you like that, but when I drive with instructors I need a second or two to think about what I am doing. He was doing your thinking for you.

Other than that, glad to see you out there doing what the car was intended to do!

Thanks for posting. I appreciate it when enthusiasts' take it to the track and use the car as it was intended.

Every instructor has their own methods and yours was to talk you through the circuit most likely to develop a rhythm.

very cool....looks like u were babying it at first but quickly gained some confidence. How fast were u going in the long sweeping turn before the cones and the straightaway/frontstretch? The video doesnt really show the speed very well.

Thanks. First lap was warm up with yellow flag so no passing. After the Porsche passed me, I got on it and never looked back. The BS went around the track about 10 seconds faster than my M5. This is a very technical track so the fastest section to the carousel is around 120mph. I've seen Z06 vettes get to 135mph but they are heavily modded and with better drivers.
