There is something about a Mars Red Black Series that does it for me. In the end all that matters is your opinion. Are there any color choices that you are leaning towards?

hello,
well any collor will make it unless it will look good at the BS
and help this BS body look better...
I plan to add 20" wheels
I also have the Clk63 BS Renntech front splitter carbon lip
so it will be kind of sports version of the allready sporty BS itself
I also like other collor ideas like the new collors from BMW with M series running in production right now
...or Audi
every nice collor I see I try to write down outside at the streets
to have a few by side to have something to choose the last day
before the paintshop professional will finally start his good job

I think one of the best factory colours would be Mars Red. Ever since I saw that example from the tuning company TT MotorSports, it was definitely an immediate and obvious choice. Outside of factory paint though, that's a tough debate considering there's a LARGE variety of colours and shades and finishes.
By the way, love the picture with the entire front end in your living room.. ahaha, thats awesome!

Georg, viel Glueck mit Deinem Black Series Umbau! Wenn Du irgend etwas brauchst, lass es mich wissen.
Am leichtesten sind helle Farben zum pflegen ... meiner ist silber.

I wouldn't paint a clone Mars Red it degrades the marque, better bet is silver.

Very cool
I'd suggest a dark color since it will make the body appear smaller/lighter. You've perhaps noticed that many overweight or large people tend to wear black -- the dark color makes them appear smaller -- how about a stealthy satin-black?
(have a silver BS and to me it looks just a little too big, or "heavy", for the size of the wheels -- ymmv)

Hell while your at it take out that 500 engine & trans and add a 55k engine & trans. Imagine an E55 minus about 400lbs! Even in stock form the acceleration would be awesome

news updates to the CLK63 BS tuning project made out a stock CLK500
hello Gents,
thank you for your support and tuning infos
very helpfull !!!
I forwarded again over 3steps ..
I have innbuild these BRABUS W209 catalytics system
( made for the V8 series )
and sound (incl my real CLK63 BS exaust system at backside incl AMG stock BG inn-tube mufflers in place) is HELL ROoAaaaarrrrrrrr...........!
Never someone would say this is still a stock M113 5.0liter engine inside,
it sounds better
as any droven Stock CLK63 AMG (never droven any BS yet)
but since I got the BS exaust system...I can just emagine
Remooving these stock MB ceramics catalytics set
(4 in total, 2 precatalytics, then the Lambda sensor pair and then at least the rear 2pair catalytics which are doing nothing special just killing sound...CAN BE TAKLEN AWAY WITHOUT PROBLEMS...your car wount feel it, just the sound will get better).
but I did not wanted to take just the rear 2 catalytics away,
I remooved the stock MB m113 catalytics in whole !
and placed the whole BRABUS V8 catalytics set inn
they do have also 4 catalytics (way bigger in dimensions as stock),
but these arent ceramic like stock
they are V2A stailness steel outside and inside with platine cellics..
Removal took just 3hours in total,
with few beers and a box Camel's by side..
The engine feels better, and torque seams to be more now
especially if you moove away right from zero speeed und full pedal pressure
but dont ask for the sound this way....................................
HELL ROoAaaaarrrrrrrr...........!
Gents, I am a starter here
and I dont want to be kicked outside again
because I tell what I do
and this is
NOT BUYING FROM STOCK MB SELLERS like 99,9% do here
You see I MAKE MY OWN dream car...
why?
BECAUSE I CAN.
what makes much more fun as just filling out some MB paperwork,
paying cash...and driving home same day with the knowledge having something "nice"..
I MAKE IT BY MY SELF
as good I can
with patience and with support from all over the world.
pls don't kick me outa again for this "robin hood rebell" acting to most 99% here (oh, gosh foorgot my ,9 beyond it ;-)
I can post new pics with much more new parts I got together
Regards from
good old rusty Germany
George & friends
PS: I thank to all "free-will rebell" supporters from over here ;-)
