Paint correction is a lot of work, that's actually a decent price depending on how many hours it took.

Great price btw, best of luck with the sale. I traded mine in with 40k miles for not much less than that.

Thanks, that was a 28 hour paint correction. Since I had 2 cars done, I got a discounted price.

Please don't drop your car price any lower. I am planning to sell my BS and you are hurting the CLKBS market. J/K!

Funny thing ... when the Challenge Stradale's were tanking, I was trying to sell mine. For the most part, I got no offers except for a few low-*****.

I decided to defy logic and raise my price ... sold it for top dollar at the time.

Don't worry, I'm almost at dealer trade in so no more price drops. If no interest at this price, it's going to the dealer. I'm moving end of Sep so I still have another month or so to do a deal.

Just think about it, in about 6 months, you will bet able to get a C63BS for $90K...

Disagree with the valuation of the C63 BS. There are very few around, last I read 75 in the states vs. 349 of the CLK BS. It's all about supply and demand. Now I do see the point in raising this to try to manipulate a short term market with statements like this in order to get into a vehicle, but it does not last.

I thought they made 800 C63BS worldwide. Last time I heard that there are only 179 CLK63BS left in the states due to export and crashes. I might be wrong.

That sounds about right. A lot less C63 BS's made it to the US than CLK63's... unfortunately. But they're still showing up in showrooms, it seems. Looks like either people have been backing out of their orders, or dealers are consuming the one (or two) allocations they've had. Unfortunately for me, none of them have had exactly what I wanted (either they're in the wrong color, or they're missing some critical pkgs that I want). Still haven't found a dealer with a free allocation sitting around.

Your dealer must have made a sweet offer. Edmunds suggests about $60K.

Edmunds pricing has naught to do with the value of a limited production vehicle.

I've yet to see a quality low mileage BS change hands at such a low price as $60K !!!
Currently on EBAY there are eight BS listed with an average BIN of $82747.00 and average mileage of 12968.

If you know of any pristine low mileage BS @ $60K, you will have enthusiasts rushing to buy.

Dealers tend to price such a vehicle based on recent transactions at regional auctions or what a specialist dealer will pay them for the trade in they acquire

None have sold on EBay, presumably because the reserves or starting bids are too high... It is kind of surprising how many of the vehicles are for sale considering how few were imported.

And if none are selling then that means that a market price isn't being established...
Further to the price that Edmunds has established...

Below is KBB trade in value for a 7K mile BS:

Excellent
$73,035
Very Good
$71,835
Good
$69,935
Fair
$64,335

Apparently it is not a buyers market...

Vehicles, especially special or collectable tend to always be for sale "at the right price"...typical of the collector car market...

If you can find an low mileage $60K Edmunds priced BS with FSH then you should jump all over it as you can turn a very quick profit by selling below the current market asking price

KBB tends to list retail based on asking prices. Dealers like to show you KBB when selling you a car. Edmunds is a based on actual sales, including dealer auctions and is normally lower than KBB. It's the best source for consumers. Dealers use Nada or the blackbook of auction results.

I thought it was a 25000 mile car. I'm not sure what higher mileage means for a specialty car but guess most collectors will be going for the lowest miles.

In any case, good luck!

Car is sold. Bought by MB dealer at $65k. I'm happy with the result as I also got $5k loss reimbursement from my company. Now I'm driving a Ford Escape rental car from Enterprise with 35k miles for the next two months. Piece of $&@#.

I lost both my babies this week, my M5 and my Black. I think I'm going to need therapy!

Sad that a dealer got it instead of a fellow gearhead from here. Still, congrats on the sale.

The good news is they told me that the owner of the dealership wanted the car for himself as he already has a SL65 BS so wanted to add the CLK to the collection. Not sure if he is a gear head or just a rich collector though.
