CLK 63 Black Series
My BS is for sale

I'm being relocated to Kuala Lumpur so need to sell my BS.

Black on Black, all stock.
Car has 23,500 miles. The only option I know of is the iPod connector in the glove box.

Car is in excellent condition except for:
Some rock chips on the front spoiler and rear fender.
I spot of discoloration on the rear CF spoiler about the size of a half dollar.
Very minor wear on the driver seat side bolster.
No curb rash on the wheels. No door dings.
Car just had an $1800 detail at AutoConcierge.
Service A performed 2 weeks ago at MB Sugar Land.
No accidents and clean title as verified by Carfax.
I have Carfax report and can provide.

I'm asking $75k but open to all reasonable offers. Please let me know if interested and I will email pictures or provide any additional information. I can be contacted at pistolerom5 at yahoo dot com.

Thanks
Ron

Thanks. The detail is what they call paint correction, I had some swirls in the paint and they do a whole car polishing to get the swirls out, the guy said it took 32 hours. It's not the standard clay bar and wax detail. Though I agree it is awful expensive, he did my M5 as well but only charged $750 including interior detail.

Agreed. I had the same guy quote me out for an older car and it was over $2000 for xxx # of hours. I think its outrageous what he charges and from the photos, it does look really good, but after a few washes and several hundred / thousand miles, all that work and $ went down the tube. I do not see the value in it.

Sorry to go off topic to OP....good luck with sale!

Was it Andrew Pancroft? Not the most reliable guy, told me it would take a week and ended up taking 2 and not finishing so I had to bring it back, then he took another 2 weeks after he told me 3 days (said he was sick but he posted pictures of him at crawfish boil and bars on Facebook). I finally picked up the car and he didn't do any work on it and told him not to bother. I would not recommend AutoConcierge to my worst enemy!

No interest? Am I priced too high? I saw three for sale on line at $89k, yes they do have fewer miles but I thought I priced for that?

I don't think so but there is one poster in VA who is selling his for $66K with (I think) about the same mileage. I've found that eBay and other car sites are becoming price wish lists and may not truely reflect the current price reduction market for high performance poor gas mileage cars. JMO-

Yes, I saw the other one for $66k but I think he has 38k miles which is almost double what I have. Wonder if I'm better off putting the car in storage for a few years?

I sold my black about a year and a half ago and did pretty well. I would just keep it out there and wait for the right buyer...

Seems to be about right. I do not think the Black is going to spiral downward. When I totaled by last Black (some 7 months ago..), I had a difficult time to find the right replacement. I looked at one in OC and that one was in horrid condition and that dealer was asking 65,000. Some of the lower mileage cars are asking for a higher premium at 80s. Do keep in mind that it may take time to sell a car. I believe one of the dealers I initially negotiated with still had the same car. The better cond, the higher the resale naturally. GLWS!

I've driven the CL65 and agree the BS is much better although not as comfortable ride.

Thanks, I may try the dealer again to see what they will offer me. My company provides loss on sale of vehicle up to $5k so if it's a reasonable offer, might be easier to trade it.

You started this thread with a price of $73K, how can you bump it to i.e. reduce it to $73K?. Do you have a lower price in-mind?

I edited the price from $75 to $73, maybe I shouldn't have done that as it is creating confusion. Will fix it.

Bump, any interest at all? I'd rather sell to an enthusiast than posting on autotrader or dealer.

Keep trying... Did you cross post anywhere like in the Classifieds here? There seems to be a lot of people with C63s and other AMG models who want the CLK BS.

Thanks for the advice. Will try cross posting. Been really busy at work so haven't had time to really advertise.

You are simply dreaming at that price. Sorry to bust your bubble
The other people trying to sell it in the high 60s will simply not happen.
Just think about it, in about 6 months, you will bet able to get a C63BS for $90K...
