can we assume this has a custom protective film on the entire car?

 

I've seen this car in person last year and it's very clean. I'm picking and didn't spot any chips or scratches. The whole car has a clear bra so that must've contributed to the condition. Too bad for my current investments, otherwise, this DTM at its current price is a no brainer.

Fortunately I've been a long time customer of theirs dating back to '05 + I was seriously considering buying this car as well. So I did get a chance to drive it for about 4-5 miles local + hwy. Comp to my BS, it is much faster. Steering feels more controlled and accurate. On the turns, it feels much more nimble than the black and the torque on this is insane. I've driven the SL Black before and that car has way too much torque for the car. On the dtm it feels just right and it doesn't feel like the car has too much torque even tho it's close to 600lbs of torque. I didn't punch it the way I would if it was my car, but this car just keeps pulling and the cf seats really holds you down nicely for the Gforce. Some may call me crazy, but it felt very similar to my boss' Enzo on the pull.

I was considering it at a time when the car was going for in the 200s, this is a fine specimen for an insanely great deal. With so few around, I don't think the pricing of these would go down. I saw Canepa's silver dtm and he was asking in the mid 300s last year, but that car is modded tho. I'd almost consider it just for investing purposes LOL.

 

Yes, that is right. We fully protected the DTM when it first arrived in early 2006 and not one piece of the film has been replaced. The car's in exceptional condition.

 

What a great car. I had a reservation at the launch but I opted for the convertible. 100 Coup’s are beenbuilt but only 74 Convertibles. I love itevery time I take it for a ride. I love to scroll through the garage and decide which ride it’ll be for the day.

The convertible DTM is my favourite AMG of all time, that one looks incredible

 

If I could ride only one car to the end of my life. It would be the CLK DTM Convertible.
-there are faster cars around
-there are more featured cars around
-there are better looking cars around
-there are cars with more reputation around
but
there is no car around carrying more fascination!
It still gives me goose bumps on every ride!
