2008 MB CLK Black Series
I'm Back...
Just bought a MB BS, I should not have sold my first one.
This one has 1,600 miles, completely stock, original owner. Looks as if it just rolled off the showroom floor
Here is the first MOD. Car is currently undergoing an ( almost complete) full body clear film wrap, rentech sound pipes, H&S wheel spacers, complete detail, all fluids changed, MB Carbon Steering Wheel, interior CF, side mirror & Renntech ECU This just arrived:
I'll post pictures when I pick up the car.

Been looking a long time for a very low Milage, no story one owner Silver one for a very long time. Not many left. Yes, had to pay North of $90k. Probably over paid but it came down to supply and demand for me...it's worth know the original owner and how the car was treated/maintaned over the past 5 years. It's amazing how many BS have changed hands and people saying its all original no paint work or track time when in fact it's not. I love this car.

yep, I remember selling them to you. They are very simple to install, if I remember correctly, you're in Northern Cal? If so, you can swing by and I'll help you install.
Picking up my BS from the Topline tomorrow and driving it 15 min to drop it off for a two day film wrap, then I'll post pictures when I get it home on Thur or Fri.

Observation - owning a BS in the bay area has got to be a great experience. I just got back from a trip to SF/Napa/Mill Valley and could not help wishing I was driving my BS (silver as well) instead of the Ford Confusion w/an 80 mph governor. If Hollywood ever remade Bullitt (I'm in no way advocating that), they should use a BS for Frank's car. Trouble would be finding an actor as cool as Steve McQueen to drive it.

Just a quick question. What is the purpose of the "body wrap" in this application? I have seen college kids have their cars "body wrapped" making them into giant sign boards for which the starving youngster is paid coin by the company for driving a billboard about. In this context it seems to be about protection of the paint job but here I confess both complete ignorance and fascination.
1-What is "body wrapping"?
2- What material is used?
3- What is the benefit of body wrapping the car, what are the down sides?
4- How long does the body wrap last?
5- How much does it generally cost to do?
