Congrats on the pick up. I had my eye on this particular car in Tennessee... Great color and priced accordingly. I was trying to bundle it with the white ml63 they had for sale but they didnt take my offer.

At least it's somewhere in Houston. Hope to see it around some day.

Is this the one and only factory matt finish car produced for a MBUSA employee? I remember this car when it first shown on the AMG Private Lounge message boards. If its a wrap then who knows what color it is.

It was made for the Chief Editor at the PL (he's here in Atlanta)... he has the one car that was made in matte silver by the factory. He was selling it some time ago so this could indeed be the car given the Nashville location.

MTV8 - congrats on this pickup, welcome to the BS club. Do you know if it is a wrap or not?

Thanks. This is the same car and factory paint. The appearance of the color actually seems to change quite a bit depending on the lighting conditions.

Yes, that looks to be the car built for Scott on PL. He lurks over here once in a while. I am sure he will chime in. Beautiful and very very rare.

Beautiful car! Truly impressive paint, a tiny bit iridscent or pearlized matte finish. The only question that I ever had was how do you care for the matte paint job? Do you use the same car wash and wax products that you would normally use on a quality paint job or is there some special product to be applied just for the matte finish crowd.

The paint can be washed as usual, but no wax or polish can be used. The car has just under 30,000 miles.

Thanks, very interesting. So with no waxes or polish in place to protect the paint from day to day wear and tear, is there a sealant of some kind perhaps that gets applied periodically? Thanks again.
