WTB Evosport CLK Rear Control Arms

Lou, Evosport has closed. Contact HG Motorsports. Dieter has developed adjustable rear control arms from stock units. Utilizing Derlin bushings they will do the job at much less cost. They are working on Camber Plates for the front also.
I had them install Weistec rear suspension Derlin bushing set. They set the camber neg. 2.0" for the street. I can't begin to describe how it changed the dynamics of the car.
Of course tires are critical. I used HRE P-40's 10" f & 11"r with Mich. Super Sports max fitment. (See Weekend Warrior Build on this page).
The car handles so much better and neutral now. The rear stays planted now so you can be more aggressive and much more fun to drive. It's the best bang for the buck you will feel all the time. I recommend all CLK Back owners do this upgrade. It lifts the car to a whole new level of handling performance which is what we want in a Black. The ride is not effected either.
I tracked my stock Black in 2008 and quickly found the rear suspension was in need of major work. The Black had just come out so no parts were available then. The poor track experience led me to sell the car and buy a GT-3 RS for tracking. Not now ! I haven't tracked my car yet but i'm sure it will be allot faster doing a better job of putting the power down coming out of the corners and higher cornering speeds. I can feel the tires now so you can get all the mechanical grip available from your tires with no surprises!
No doubt there is room for improvement in the rear suspension. 100 locking Diff. is a must also. Don't spend money on shocks and springs. Just spend a few thousand on the mods, lower the car and you have a tight package. Give them a call. 619-504-8140

Evosport arms are not available. I spoke to Dieteryesterday. His fabricator has not begun to modify a pair of stock arms yet.It’s a simple job to adapt a Hiem Joint onto the inside end of a stock controlarm. That will give you the adjustment we need. This is a simple fix and I ampushing Dieter to get started on my set. Stock arms are cheap and a good way toget the job done. I don't know what your issue is with the e mails. Here is hisaddress. Give him a few weeks to get the first set done then he will buildseveral mere for sale. Be patient, you will save a bunch of money going thatroute.
3k for Evosport arms was way too expensiveanyway. Maybe contacting Dieter will get him moving faster. He said yesterdayhe has been contacted by someone already about their availability

I've a guy who has tracked down the company that made evosport arms but he said that they are not making them anymore unless we can get numbers together pls pm me if you are interested and if you know any one else pls tell them so we can get these arms made

I'm having a meeting with HG Motorsports on Mon. I am trying to push them to make the arms. I had them get an extra set of stock arms to engineer a design which should cost less than the $3,000.00 arms made by EVOSPORT. Will let you know if they will gear up on the project. Steve

HG Motorsports and Weistec are building rear control arms. Will update you when I have news of availability. They want to use the Weekend Warrior CLK Black for development of parts which I approved. Looks like a re-build, supercharger, trans and suspension mods like camber plates and adj. control arms. Stay tuned.
