CLK63 Black Series...winter tire options?

I know....most of you don't drive your cars that much, and surely not in the snow, and I do not intend to drive it in the snow either. But I do live in Indiana, and even when the roads are dry and don't have snow, proper winter only tires have always given me more security do to their compounding, and also the knowledge that IF it would snow, I would not be pulling the car from a ditch. So, I appreciate that many of you would opt not to drive yours in the winter cold at all, I am simply trying to find a recommendation for winter tires for the CLK63 Black Series. Tire Rack does not list any that fit the OEM 19 inch wheels in the OEM sizes. Any ideas where else I could look, or what I may be able to do? With the large brakes, I fear that buying a set of 18 inch wheels and winter tires is not an option, but I do not know for sure.

Thank you all for your help and insight!

Tire Rack carries the Conti Extreme Contact DWS:

One of the few tires available for the standard BS stagger.

I run them all year round as they are Dry, Wet, Snow UHP all season tires...

Awesome! Thank you. Nothing came up when I searched. Have you actually had much snow driving in the Black Series with those? How does it do?

No real snow driving but more driving below freezing....
The Corsa's wouldn't grip even in the summer, where the EC DWS make the car a pleasure to drive all year round.

Thank you. I was working on convincing the wife that the CLK63 Black Series will not be useless in the winter, and that I will still be able to drive it....and I have always been a fan of having proper tires for the conditions.

I have a feeling that winter tires or not it would be hard to get it going in the snow b/c of the torque. I think you'd need some weight back there as well. A light dusting is one thing but any accumulation will make for a very scary ride back home.

I have pretty good luck with winter tires. My E63 AMG, NSXs, and a couple of M3s, all did just fine in the snow with proper tires. It just takes moderation of throttle, and a bit of common sense (of which sometimes I may run out of...LOL).

Where in Indiana do you live (as I'm glad there are two of us)? I'm right up at the bottom of the lake, in the middle of the Indiana Dunes National lakeshore. In other words, in the heart of the snowbelt.
I have 51,000 miles on my car, and also run the Contis "year round". That's in italics, as I don't drive it in real snow, and were we live, that's spelled SNOW.
Based on the way the rear will kick when it"s wet and cold, real snow may pose a risk.

I've driven rear drive Benzes, a BMW 850 CSI, my CTS-V, and my trusty Porsche tt thru all kinds of bad weather, including up the steep dune to our home, but that's on Blizzaks.
My guess is over an inch of accumulation would create a challenge. But, in 51,000 miles, that's a challenge I haven't attempted. Could you see the look on my wife's face when I call to say, "Honey, could you jump in the Audi and pick me up at the bottom of the hill?" Hmmm............
Keep us posted, and maybe one day we'll wave to each other. AS
