9.1 Second 1/4 Mile CLK Black Series
I am sure some of you have already seen this posted over in the C section but I figured I would share it here since the record was achieved in a CLK BS powered by a Weistec supercharger, Wesitec piston, rods and heads with a factory stock block and stock crank. HP is about 1300 @ the crank.
0-60mph 2.2 seconds
0-100mph 3.8 seconds
60-130mph 4.0 seconds
1/8th Mile 5.9 seconds @ 123mph
1/4 Mile 9.1 seconds @ 150 mph
I made several passes with 1/4 mile trap speeds ranging from 150-155 mph. Pretty much every Mercedes acceleration record was beat on Saturday. That 0-60 and 0-100 is quicker than the 2014 Petronas AMG F1 car

Thank you. She is still a bit of a heavy weight even after a big diet, 3800ish pounds with driver. Full roll cage, blower, intercooler, ice tank additional radiators and parachute add the weight back on fairly quickly. It still has navigation, all factory glass, power windows and locks and all interior dash and panels intact. I did strip AC and all sound deadoning material, and of course the cf roof saved a few pounds. I could strip the crap out of it, put in plexiglass windows and go a little faster but I pride myself in keeping it a real street car and relatively stock looking. People at the drag strip are suprised to see it run 9's and they are even more suprised when they walk over to check it out and it has a full factory interior and a nav screen, less the seats of course. If anyone comes close to this time with a Benz then I might decide to go full bore strip down but until then I like knowing I still have that card to play. Weistec and I still have a couple more tricks up our sleeves to eek a couple more hp out of it, my plan is to go 8's with it in the next month the way it sits and then ship the car back to California for a little more Weistec love.

I call BS, this whole video looks fabricated!!!!
To prove me wrong, I think while its enroute back to weistec you should drop it off in Vegas and let me verify its power via borrowing it for the weekend.....
Congrats!!!! Hope to see an 8.99 soon.

A year ago I was 4105 with driver which shows you how much my cage and blower and stuff added. Hear is a more detailed breakdown of weight reduction. My drag suspension is about half the weight of the stock stuff, I am not running a front sway bar, front strut tower brace removed, two piece rotors all the way around, carbon fiber drive shaft, carbon fiber hood, AC compressor removed, all heat and cooling ventilation removed, low speed bumper material removed, lightweight battery, trunk carpet and sound deadening removed, rear view mirror removed, all SRS airbags removed, factory gas tank removed and replaced with 5 gallon fuel cell. In addition to the weight reduction we also moved weight around, to be more precise we moved stuff into the trunk to get some weight over the rear wheels for traction. Battery is in trunk now as are some electronics. As I stated earlier there is a whole other level of weight reductions I could do but I want it to appear somewhat stock, especially the interior, it is still a Mercedes after all.

Awesome, that's the only word.
So later are you going to dismantle a lot of the mods and bring it back so it can be more of a track/street car? I remember you saying a while ago that you were going to keep the CLK BS forever and give it your son at some point. I know that's probably some time away since you still have more you want to get out of the car...

Thanks man, 3 gear changes is all that are required with the rear-end, tire height and trans gearing I am running. Fewer gear changes equals lower ET. Trans is very heavily modded but not a Powerglide or something if that is what you are asking. Car is actually geared up, current gearing is capable of pulling in the neighborhood of 245mph top speed. Can't wait to get it out to a 1 mile event to see what it can do when it has some room to stretch it's legs.

The CLK is now a pretty much a dedicated drag strip car, no reason to change it back. I have the C BS and SLS BS for road course fun and have been using them for that purpose on a regular basis. I am thinking about completely gutting the C BS and turning it into a real track duty monster. I also have an AMG GT on the way this winter so I have my basis covered, street, strip or road course.

Thanks. Yes, I am running the Weistec race ported heads. Pretty much the entire engine has been built by Wesitec using some of their catalog parts that are available to anyone with an M156 and some one-off stuff built specifically for me and this car, but most of it is available for anyone that wants it right on their website. Engine runs Weistec heads, forged pistons, forged rods, Weistec valvetrain and cams. You may be suprised to hear I am still running the stock block and crank which should be a testiment to the quality of stock AMG parts. We have had talks of sleeving the block and bumping up the boost and power to even more insane levels but right now a lack of power is not the issue, lack of traction is what we are fighting with currently. The car can and will go faster the way it sits, once I feel I have gotten all I can out of the current set-up then I will look at other ways to go faster. Right now we are just playing around with gearing, suspension and tires. You will see an 8.xx second pass out of me this year, I promise you all that.
