Put silver rims back on and re-shoot w/better lighting. I like the color, but agree that its gonna be difficult to move at $89K.
And on the subject of mods, the 2nd para. of the ad indicates that "braking is through larger vented and perforated composite disc brakes front and rear." However, the ad goes on to read "E55 front and rear brake rotors with Pagid pads replace the heavy ceramic units and thus result in a 48 pounds reduction in unsprung weight." The original rotors are steel, no? And how would removing a ceramic rotor save weight (assuming it came w/ceramics in the first place)? Front calipers have that rust/orange paint found on the caliper from a ceramic system so there may be some misinterpretation of the prior owners description. Dunno. Either way, their ad needs some work.

yeah - i'm not sure about the color (i personally don't care for dark green cars) or the E55 brake statement either, but the transmission module upgrade by weistec is a great one! nice car either way.

I am actually fine with the color, it would look cool with bronze or copper tone wheels. The headlights and tailights are just terrible! Offsets or backspacing on the wheels looks a little off too. This car is not worth the $89K asking price, they will be lucky to get $69K, very limited audience for a car like this with these mods in that color.

When I think of "MODIFIED REGARDLESS OF COST" I think of this:
http://www.superstreetonline.com/fea...-black-series/ Not a green paint job. And I would assume that it's sitting at the same dealership as they're making the same puzzling claims regarding the stock ceramic rotors. Original ask was $89K. Interested to see what that "low reserve" is now.

LOL! yeah - that's sort of what i was expecting, and then went on to read more - a couple weistec upgrades and E55 calipers and that -- sorry -- that green color. Almost as bad as the stripes on the white one in AZ that hasn't sold, yet the price has not been lowered on that one... i guess someone will buy it.

The green is not for everyone. I happen to like it but wouldn't buy it over a stock white or red BS as a matter of preference and resale value. If you're gonna repaint, it should be a more mainstream color that wasn't originally offered (yellow, blue, grey). As for the white one w/the stripes, I know its been sitting, but there's a point where it becomes worth buying (less cost of repaint, new spoiler, etc.) That or they'll find a buyer who loves the stripes and wing.

From the ebay listing:
"E55 FRONT AND REAR BRAKE ROTORS (THE STOCK ROTERS ARE CERAMIC AND VERY HEAVY, UPGRADE RESULTS IN A 48 POUND WEIGHT REDUCTION)"
"THE CUSTOM ONE OF A KIND VALDENGRUN GREEN PAINT (COST $18,500 TO PAINT) IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION WITH NO MAJOR SCRATCHES OR DINGS ANYWHERE AT ALL."

sorry, i didn't mean to come off sounding like an a$$ about the paint jobs, you're right, they're not for everyone... i guess I was just hoping the stripes were vinyl rather than perm paint. The green, at least it's a solid color - i like having the badging too... but some like it de-badged. Man, if they'd just repaint the white one in AZ back - they'd probably sell it faster and perhaps for a higher price, or at least their asking price.

Back again. Black wrapped, I think. Carfax has an accident recorded in 2015. They've thrown in free car washes for life, so ya got that going for you as a buyer.
Over/under on the # months this sits?

a long time.....i know about this car and he(a car broker himself) traded it in for about $40k plus tax savings on the trade. Lots of mods. Looks like they want 20% profit if they get $50K.

Personally, I would never touch a wrecked one of these. The values of a car with paint work or no service history documentation (or BOTH), are a fraction of what the clean, no stories cars are going for.
When I bought my car it had just over 17k miles, no stories, all original paint, and a documented service history at Mercedes since it was new, and I can say that the premium I paid was well worth it. I have had recent offers of between $68k - $72k for my car because of how clean and well documented it is, and that is with 26k now on the odometer. To each their own, but these cars are special enough to warrant getting a nice one....unless you just want to have a track car. LOL!

Everything about that car just looks a bit off, and that matte black almost looks like a bad paint job cuz it's kinda splotchy...
Good to know that the values seem to be holding steady. I've been pondering about which car I would get next if I were to sell, and I honestly can't think of anything on the market right now I'd rather have (Outside of exotics).

headlights on this one are LED's and they shake......annoying to see the light moving with the vibration of the engine, but should be an easy fix. Wonder how they wrapped the engine compartment cuz that was green too.
