yeah - for some reason i still see it out there... sweet car - i like the color too. I'm on the prowl for a clk black series...hopefully with the throttle blip and some other suspension goodies already done...

There are a couple out there with the blip mod including the weekend warrior and the gray one above. The gray one above is insane and all set for the track, not so much daily driving. The weekend warrior can do both. I haven't investigated the others but I suspect they are mostly daily drivers.

mid-$50k's won't land you a white one, but not a bad budget for some hit-it-and-quit-it car that's been used & abused or about to be treated like that lol.

yeah - probably a higher mileaged black or silver is more where i'm looking towards for that price range. That one in AZ with the stripe doesn't seem that bad, other than the god awful permanently painted stripe... everything else is either replaceable (the spoiler) or good, like the renntech stuff.

As for that arctic white with black stripe, couple weeks ago we were just talking about it on the board, everyone agreed that it's pretty much a loss-cause.

yeah - it would be a big down-sell for later if you had to re-paint it to get the stripe off - then it's "repainted". At least i would think so... oh, yeah, i read that thread about it too. I wonder if the seller is going to have to drop the price - great mods but IMO, should have done a vinyl stripe so it could be removed.

you snooze you lose, happened to me too, twice actually over an 8-month span, when I was searching for the perfert arctic white... just gotta act quicker, check off everything (get the vehicle inspection/due-diligence done faster & have your $ rdy to go).

yeah, it had been on a site's dealership for quite a bit, turns out they sold it to another dealership for customer i think. Do they have services that actually send out mechanics/inspectors to a state where the cars at? i'd love to go down and see it myself of course, but i think it would be better if i could send someone that knows more what to look for that i may overlook or not think of.

ok - that's funny, i just found it again, same city, different web seller - and now they've priced it about 5,000$ more than what the other place had it for... geez i think that's common.

Yes there are third-party mobile-inspectors that can go inspect the car for you, I would use them for the preliminary inspection, then when everything checked out good, schedule a follow-up MB CPO inspection at the closest MB dealership (you may have to be there physically, and rdy to purchase the vehicle on the spot if that worked out good too).
