Where and when exactly is this? I don't have an AMG CLK but I would like to see all the CLK Black Series, which happens to be my favorite MB!

Thanks for the update MOFLO. I'm listed on there twice. #3 and #12. Feel free to update the list for a more accurate head count.

Seems like this will be a nice MB enthusiast meet. Maybe a record number of CLK63 Blacks in one spot?

Hope I don't have too many more name duplicates.

Hopefully we can get 2 new folks to fill these two open spots.

Thanks!

Just to clarify (I did a search already), is this blip upgrade only a TCU tune with no modifications to any other parts (i.e. valve body, fluids, etc)? And what would be the regular price on this (In case I don't make it on this date)?

That's a good question to email sales@weistec.com about or hopefully they will post a response here.

Thanks!

The blip tune provided by Rafl and probably the one integrated by Weistec is TCU + ECU tune (software only). You can upgrade valve body but is not necessary.
My CLK 63 (non BS) has the blip tune (since april and 11000km) with any other modification required.

This is what the website says but no pictures of what it actually is.

Weistec needs to update their website soon...

Anyone have pictures of this mod on their car already?

If I'm not mistaken, this is something integrating from the design of the C63BS intake pipes; so instead of sucking up air beneath the radiator, the pipes goes straight on top of the radiator.. at least that's what it looks like under the hood of my car after they did the ecu/filters/ROWbox upgrades.

Does it look something like this now (compared to the stock CLK63BS setup)?

I have them on mine as they certainly make more sense, since there is no bend.

The Weistec website is now updated with all the latest pictures/videos and information, in case anyone else has questions.

Should be a great turn out of a lot of beautiful cars. Stop by the shop on blip day to check out the cars!

Thanks for the update. Technically speaking, this update should extend the life of the engine for those who drive in manual frequently.

For those that already have gotten this done, does it really tune the upshifts so they are "firmer" (Text taken from the Weistec site)? What does that mean anyway? And does it fix the problem of missing rapid multiple downshifts (Which I assume was a limitation or preventive measure in the transmission software logic)?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this explanation. The "firmer" upshifts refers to the feeling of how the transmission engages the next gear up. Engaging the gear faster, possibly with a bit more force, reducing shift times. I can't tell from the video and imagine it being more of a sensation or feeling noticed while driving more than anything else.
The downshift is delayed or "missed" to protect the engine from over revving. I don't think anyone wants their trans to downshift and have the motor rev past 6-7K RPM. That can't be good long term.
