Anybody Know These Vehicles?
So about two months ago I totaled my 55 AMG. Viewed it as an opportunity to move up to the 63 BS. I'm looking for a high(er) mileage vehicle, not some garage queen - because I'll be doing radical surgery like I did to Gladys.
Anyway - came across these two cars, does anybody have knowledge of them:

This car is local to me so I can go see it firsthand, and it's in the USAA buyer's club which means I can get an additional discount - but 8 owners in 8 years - causes me to wonder.

This car is located in Marietta, GA, and I'm willing to make the trip to check it out, but $49K - and it comes from Florida.
Even though both cars say they have a clean CARFAX - that means absolutely nothing. Beyond visual inspection I'd want to see service records, and I would definitely take her to an Indie shop for a PSI.
Just wondering if anyone has any background knowledge on these?

then rebuilt and taken to Florida to
receive a clean title
And both had a clean carfax
The sellers admitted this
These were not Black Series but...
It it is not unusual for the BS to
have had 8 owners - look at the carfax
Dealers buy these (owner) - they don't
sell so the dealer sells to another dealer...
My list includes the second car with the
notation "Florida car" - not interested
Shellx's BS is on my good list just not
looking for black (at that price)
Smart move to ask questions here
as the most knowledge for the
CLK63 Black Series is right here

On the topic of Carfax, here's a YouTube clip documenting an Aventador that had considerable damage that didn't show up on Carfax. Car was sold to several dealers that were also unaware of damage. And it obviously does not speak well of the dealer that tried to unload it on other dealers.

I would not worry about these types of cars having several owners either. These are very specialized vehicles. Just like other niche cars like Ferraris and such, many people will buy it just to toy with for a short time, and then sell it for a new toy. So if the service history is solid, and the car checks out, don't worry how many owners it has had. Enjoy a wonderful car.

Lowlife...stereotypical, used car salesmen. Lesson learned; whether your buying a 1999 Toyota Corolla from ABC Used Cars, or a "virtually brand new" Italian exotic from a supposedly reputable, high end dealer, they're all cut from the same cloth. Wonder how many other customers these bottom feeders have taken for a ride?
