AMG Number for each CLK BS among 700 ?
Hello,
The sticker on CLK BS with the AMG number (not the VIN) seems to be the BS production number among the 700 produced.
Here some examples taken from BS F/S theard
The AMG number is increasing in coherence with the VIN Number.
Is it the same on your CLK BS ?

I always saw that the CLK BS production number was 700 and not 500.
I agree the production for the USA was near 350, I thought it was 364, but 349 is perhaps good
Do you have a link for the 500 unit information ?
On AMG Private lounge I found this :

There's a thread here from Carnac who published the 500 number. Mario Spitzer of AMG told our group when I took delivery at the factory that there were only producing 500 world wide. The 700 number I think came from one of the car mags but can't remember which one. At the time it was a bogus or misprint.

I still do not understand why they have it being such a closely guarded secret. I mean, who really cares if the public knows how many you built? As an owner I would like to know because it is a fun and exciting tidbit.
