Looking to rejoin the brotherhood. Need help on values for high mileage Black Series.

So after a few years without my beloved 'Nero', the CLK63 Black Series that was probably my favorite car ever. I am looking to get back into the fold, but not the same way I did last time. When I bought Nero I went for the lowest mileage one I could find at the time at 17k miles, and proceeded to drive the heck out of it, and sold it with just over 30k miles just a couple of years later. Took a bath on the pricing because evidently 30k + miles is 'high mileage' for these rare beasts.

Anyway, I am now seriously down to (2) of them. One is a white car (my personal preference) with around 62k miles, no paint work, a decent amount of records, and all stock. The other is silver (my least favorite color) with a carbon fiber hood (which I would immediately have to change for a stock one), rear seats, some records come with it, with around 92k miles (but, the head bolts have been done).

I plan to drive these cars. This pandemic has had me watch friends die, and lives be destroyed, and I am not going to just sit by without enjoying another lunatic like the CLK63 Black Series. What I don't know, is the values for these. Because they seem to be ALL OVER the map. Bubba Watson's white car with 38k miles and something like $30k - $40k in RennTech and other upgrades pulled $54k, and I have seen other cars both above and below that, with less mileage than either of the ones I am looking at. So, any ideas what is fair for these? I always try to plan for the worst. That if I had a family emergency and had to sell it tomorrow, I would not have to take a bath. So a fair price, all things considered.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

sry bud you missed it by overthinking it. The COVID sale is over if there was one on those cars you mentioned. If it's any consolation, the prices wont come down after you find/buy one either. Buy the stock one.

Keep in mind the higher mileage ones will have wear and tear. Many of the black series specific parts are no longer available. The number that have been up for sale has dropped significantly besides the few that seem to keep changing hands quickly (probably for good reason).

CLK63 BS, 911 Turbo, BMW M3 30 Jahre, BMW E30
In the last 2 months I have seen at least a couple cars sell for over 6 figures which were both under 30K on the clock (one had 26K). They were in stellar condition and bone stock. Prices continue to rise weekly it seems and the supply is getting smaller.
I am seeing this same trend with other German performance cars like the BMW E36 M3 but with so few Blacks ever made, it causes the demand to be even stronger.
Good luck with your search.

I'm guessing that's lower mileage than what he is looking for. I wouldn't be surprised if that one fetches 6 figures

Trying to bargain hunt a CLK63BS is going to be tough if he hasn’t found one already. A corvette will be cheaper.
