2008 clk63 black series
Oil temp
So I’m regularly seeing 108, 112 and max 126 Celsius oil temps in my new to me black series. The 108-112 is when I’m driving with some airflow. The 126 is sitting in traffic. Car was serviced. Checked over. Full fluid and filter changes. Just seems to me that the temps are high. 255 degree f oil temp? I’ve never seen that in a scud (hottest engine bay ever) or gt3 on a hot summer day on a track. Experts please help. I love the car and it drives amazing. The oil temps are weird. Maybe it’s a sensor and car isn’t running that hot?

S mode will run the car hot and manual mode even hotter! you should hear the fans running and when stopped, it should go down to from 126! these engines get hot and will go into limp mode at 137 until it cools down and you get full power back. i always pop open the hood when parked just to get some of that hot air out for a min

126°C is quite classic on urban traffic or spirit driving.
I was never able to put my BS in limp mode with track use. With my old regular CLK 63 (non BS), I had the issue. It was more an overheat of the gearbox.
The BS has a much better cooling system for the gearbox. I upgraded mine with the weistec transmission pan which allow a larger oil quantity.

my car has the renntech downshift blip/tcu and an ecu upgrade. it shifts faster at high rpm and by redline. i only use it on the highway as to not heat up the transmission in stop and go traffic. i flip it to c when im omw home to cool everything down!

Nice....!How much of a change does the TCU and ECU make the car feel? I'm planning on a trip to Renntech for the ECU, TCU, Midpipe and also have them do the headbolts and SLS lifters. This car is a keeper for me so i figured why not do it right......
