Baby CLS??
Hey everyone! Did you hear about the 'Baby CLS'?? Mercedes-Benz is calling it the CLA, because it shares the same platform as the A-class. It will be front-wheel driven, and affordable for the younger generation, like me!
Here is the webpage for photos:

Looks like one sexy ride!
FYI: At the top of the page, it says CSC-class, but Mercedes-Benz announced that 90% of what we see in the concept, will make it to production in the new CLA-class! Lets Go!!

I have to say I am a big fan of the baby CLS! It is striking in its appearance, but I wish they would offer the options of a bigger/more powerful engine and AWD.
Maybe an AWD AMG version is in the works...

I like it. It's definitely got style. Trying to get the girlfriend to like it. She already likes the C class.
It'd be a good car for her to finally start driving in ( don't ask).

Thank God......they didn't do this with old shape.......Now CLS C218 won't stand out as much.......cause they r sharing the same headlights with most 2014 models........S will also have same design too

MBWorld Fanatic!
I hope they keep that Panoramic roof from the concept to the production model.
That is the only thing that stopped me from getting the CLS. Buying a car without Pano seems like such a downgrade now that I am used to it.

That is a concept car and most probably will never see the light of day. Secondly the US does not get the B Class let alone the A Class.
However we have the B Class and expect the A class soon. Only in Canada.....pity!

The only drawback I see is that it might cannibalize C Class sales.

Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
If you look at the many mules of the CLA, the sheetmetal is VERY different from the Concept, despite how M-B is trying to market it ("90% similar"). That very smooth and super protruding metal isn't the case in the mules driving around. They have seemingly thinner protruding sides, and the lines are seemingly going to be more hard and crashing like the CLS's, rather than how smoothly integrated (comparatively speaking) they are on the Concept (as Concepts usually are).
Time will tell, but I'm betting on a completely *technically* different body, with the same details that make it look like the Concept in essence.
