Hi, few weeks ago I placed my order for a 2014 CLS 550. Since then I have been trying to find some official info around 2014 changes (dealer said they don't know yet).

Looks like the 550 hasn't changed, at all...

The AMG gets 4-Matic, which has been posted for some time.

They don't mention anything about the Bang & Olufsen sound system as an option for either car?

I only noticed two things. New Red color and a mention about guiding lines in reverse camera. I like the new Red in picture. But, you never know how its going to look in person. I played it safe and went with black.

To those who have been unhappy about the lack of guidelines in the rearview camera, it is here now.

Also eco start stop - and I notice on the MBUSA website, the city MPG crept up to 18.

Too bad there is no collision prevention assist. Maybe I will have to get Distronic ....

are the guidelines backwards compatible to '12 and '13 models via sw update?

will drive kit plus be able to be installed on '12 and '13 models?

Ohh yes. Forgot about ECO start and stop. After few minutes of thinking, I did order the car with Distronic. With my ADD, I think it is a good option to have

Not backward compatible is what I was told by MB for guidelines, which is a real shame.

They are now offering huge discounts here on CLS, like 23% which I am really p*ssed about, as it will devalue the car and means I paid more. I have never seen discounts like this before on an MB. They really must want to shift them, I should have waited and got a 2014. This really surprises me as I would of thought the line would be full making the new E Class facelift and they have added the CLS shooting brake too.

23% off!?! That is incredible. People in the states would stampede to the dealerships if these deals come to the US. I hope if isn't, otherwise I will be really disappointed if I did not wait for 4 months.

go to www2.mercedes.co.uk and you can see the offers on CLS. We pay more anyway but on a £47k car they are offering £11k deposit contribution. Unless this is a typo I am really suprised at this level of discount. It cheapens our cars and reduces the resale value. They must make a packet on the CLS if they can offer that. Crazy as it devalues the brand.
