Aftermarket Wheels on 2014 CLS Please Help!
I am begging someone to please help. I have 2014 diamond white CLS550 with the 18' amg wheel package. I wanted to change the wheels but I am very scared to do so because I don't know much about how wheels. I wanted to get the Vossen VVSCV5's they are 20 inches though. My concern is Ive heard that its bad for the car and can destroy the suspension among other things. Is that true is it risky to change the wheels? Ive been researching for weeks trying to get a straight answer and I can't find one. Thanks any input would be greatly appreciated

20" wheels will not destroy your suspension.. the ride becomes harsher because of the lower profile tires. Basically there's less sidewall to absorb bumps,potholes,etc.

I second that. 20's definitely look cooler than the 18s but you might have to deal with wheel damage more often. BTW if you want to get rid of your 18 inch AMG wheels, PM me.

Seriously consider 19" option. Noticed you live in ny like I do and the roads can be down right brutal!

I'm currently running 19" 10 spoke factory wheels and even that setup makes me pucker up when I hit a pothole.

Ps: have my factory 18's on for the winter and wifee just got a flat on the passenger side rear!

Just got my CV5s mounted a day ago. I love them they look amazing. Ill post some pictures when the weather here clears up.

My are outside my front door right now, having just arrived... I'll have to wait for the spring to install... Matte Graphite 20" CV5 on a Blk car...

I am currently using the factory 19" sport package +1 with sottozeros for winter....

Awesome. Yea I got the graphite with machined silver on a white car. I see you live in Chicago so I guess spring is the best option. I live in NY and I had mine put on Monday and we had a snow storm Tuesday. I had no problems at all. They're great looking rims though.

I actually purchased Continental DWS all season tires and they did well in the snow. They are ultra high performance all season tires. Ill post pictures in a few days when the weather clears up.
