NEW CLS 500 OWNER HELP!
Hey guys!
Recently bought a 2006 CLS 500 w/ 120k Miles.
Just changed the ac compressor and 2 faulty spark plugs.
But I get get a slight shake/vibration when i stop then it goes away.
I also would get a quick vibration when driving.
its a quick shake/vibration.
Ive tried to search the forums but couldnt find anything to see what I can check or do, really hoping to get help from the forum. The car is for my wife and I dont want to put her in a bad situation when driving the car.
thanks in advance!!

See if you can get AutoZone (free), an alternative parts store or your local MB dealer to read any fault codes. If all is OK, you might check the motor and transmission mounts -- I'm not sure, but they likely are fluid-filled and can deteriorate and leak.

Take your car in to have it checked out to a reputable indy or dealership. Had a similar experience (not with the shut-off) and it turned out to be motor mounts/transmission mount. Replaced, shake gone.
Since you are getting cylinder misfires, different issue, but take it in to get it fully checked. Don't guesswork the issue. Coil pack? Plugs faulty? It could be a several things.

RRS Supercharged and CLS550 (W218)
Should be smoke coming out the tail pipes. Unscrew and remove your oil cap.....how does the oil around the top or under the cap look? Does oil have a milky white appearance?

I had the same problem with my 2013 CLS550. Turns out some of these cars were built with faulty spark plugs. They replaced all 8 plugs and coils. The problem was solved.
If your car has 120K, I don't know why you would replace only two spark plugs. Replace all 8 plugs and coils. Also check if there is any coolant in the oil.
