winter set up question 14' cls550 4mat
What are my options for winter set ups on a 14 cls550 4mat

also what is the most tire profile I would be able to run without rubbing?

Check your owner manual. You can go same size on four wheels (good if you expect to drive in the snow). The tires would be the same size as your front tires but the rim size is trickier as you want to make sure it works with the front brake and fill the wider body in the rear. Or you can go with a set-up similar to summer tires (wider rear tires). The owner's manual has it all.

The set I'm selling has the same size on 4 wheels but the rims are the same size as those used for summer tires.

I don't mind running 19s but I just want to add more profile because I bent my rim and popped the tire but I think thats just Mercedes's bad rim quality but I know I can bump down to 18s no issue but I just want more profile.

Running OEM 18 inch AMG 5 spoke rims. Have Blizzaks on all round - 255/40/18. Been perfect for the last winter and fine this winter so far.

where did you get the rims
it's easy to find tires just hard to find the right wheels for the cls :/

Bought the rims from another 14 CLS550 owner on this forum. He wanted to upgrade to 19s and sold me his 18s.

They're still doing good for me Kaetamer. Glad to have a spare set - allows me to swap wheels in my own garage when it gets cold. Hope your 19s are keeping you happy.
