Summer wheels back on with Renntech lowering module
Snows finally gone in the Mass. so I put back on the summer HRE wheels and a couple months back swapped out my drop links for the Renntech lowering module. Added a couple pics to show as I'm playing around with the ride height. Not a big fan of slammed cars, but do think the factory height is a bit too high!!
I went with the Renntech lowering module only because I did the ECU last summer and really think the guys down there stand behind their products! I don't mind that you need to adjust with a laptop because I'm not really going to change it alot. Probably only when I go back to the stock wheels in the winter!
If anyone is interested in my Adjustable Air Ride drop links please PM me.
Thx,Will

The Renntech ECU is great. I think alot of the software tuners can get 100+ HP out of these engines so I can't really compare it to others. But I do know you can definitely feel the seat of your pants difference and thats all I need!! There was a local dealer that could have done the upgrade, but I took the ECU out myself and sent it down to FL. They pretty much loaded up the new software the day they received it and shipped it back to me that day. So the whole thing too Mon-Wed and by Wed nite after work I put it back in and everything was working great!

I'll have to look on the Renntech software to know exactly how much I lowered the front/rear. As for the lowering links, I did it myself so I'm not sure how much it would costs. Putting them on is easy, its adjusting them that is a pain. So I would use the lowering links if you have 1 set of wheels for the year, adjust once and then leave it alone. I have a set of winter tires where I need to raise the car a bit or else it looks slammed...that is a pain with the lowering links. For the rears, you need to have the tire off (or have a lift). For the fronts you can adjust with the wheels on.

Both upgrades are great. I installed the lowering module myself and its pretty straight forward. Just need to understand wiring diagrams as you need to move some of the wires in the plastic connectors around!

Yes, thats why I'm asking if anyone wants the adjustable droplinks. I had those on, put back the non-adjustable ones, and then added in the renntech module to change it via the electronics.
