New 2015 CLS63 S-AMG - Intro - and Wheel Advice Pls
Hey Guys,
So I changed my 2013 CLS550 for a 2015 CLS63 SAMG.
The difference between the two cars is dramatic to say the least.
I am contemplating changing out the current stock wheels, for Vossen 20s.
I was wondering whether lowering the car is essential. Has anyone done this on a CLS63 w/o lowering?
The shop I was speaking to about installation recommends not messing with AMG's stock suspension.
Any opinion or thoughts would be much appreciated.

That car is Bad... ***... The wheels look awesome with that paint job. I would also not mess with the AMG suspension - Too much development work has gone into it to get it just right and you will only screw it up. Just drive this beast as is and enjoy the smiles per mile.

Just found out I have a leak in one of the tires... And they won't patch given its close to the edge.
On the fence whether to replace the stock tire, or just get new rims with wheels.
My only problem is, I've decided not to lower the car. Has anyone seen a CLS63 with 20s that was stock height?
Wondering if it will look like a pickup truck...

to your old CLS550.
As far as your question, I would definitely switch out the wheels for 20" vossen wheels. I honestly would stay away from lowering it. Plus with the 20's its gotta still sit pretty damn low. Drive it with the new wheels for a little and break it in...then see how you feel about lowering it.
(if you do decide to lower, 100% def go with the lowering links as you can always switch back to the stock suspension on the fly)
Enjoy the new whip!! Looks beautiful.

As for my old CLS550 with 20" CV1s...I will say, living here in South Beach... I got more compliments on the 550 on Vossens than I do with the CLS63. I'm not sure whether its because I had the 550 fairly early on, when there weren't too many on the street.
