Contemplating buying 2015 CLS400. need help - LINK enclosed
Hi fellas,
Thinking about buying a CLS400 over a Audi A7 Prestige. Found this '15 with 5000 miles and loaded. Take a look and let me know what you think.
1. Where would I find the service history? I'm worried that it was sold after 4000 miles, maybe it was a lemon buyback? Original warranty is good til 2019 tho.
2. Is the price reasonable?
3. I'm confused as the pics show the old xenon headlights but 2015 P2s came with Full LED lights.
Any other feedback would be good. Thx.

For what its worth I drove both over the past week. Preferred the Mercedes to the A7 (although I drove a 550). Full warranty should have your covered for any crazy issues. I say go for it!

When I got mine, I preferred the tech on the A7, but the leather on the dash, the stereo, seats and engine note/performance won me over.
BTW, a year in and not a single issue. Best car i've owned.

About the meaning less statement.
I only tell the truth, if you have some information which will help her solve her problem. Speak up or shut up.
My friend bought a brand new 2015 CLS 400 and MBUSA is buying it back because it is a lemon. She can not even get all of her money back that she paid for the car. They are only giving her the sticker price, not the extra $6000 she paid for the warranty, doc fee, simonizing etc. They are even trying to sell her a 2015 CLS for $7000 more and it will be out dated in two months.
If she goes for the buy back she will get some of her money back, and she will loose $6000 on her initial investment

I must agree also I have had my CLS400 6 months 4000 miles not one issue or complaint. What I guess we are asking is what was the issue she had problems with. Because I would like to have that information if it occurred with my car. The CLS 400 is A e350 which is a known quality. The tranny and the 276 engine are both time-tested and reliable Maybe she has electrical gremlins or another issue that has affected her car only. You then come to the conclusion that all CLS are lemon's doesn't make sense.

I just don’t want anyone to have to go through what I had to go through. You got me it is my car and the seventh Mercedes I have purchased, and I have never had a problem until I purchase this one.
I have only had this car for four months it had 4 miles on it when I got it. I like my car it is a beautiful car, it just won’t run, it has been a nightmare. I was out of town stopped at a stop light and the car just died on me, the car had to be pushed out of the street into a parking lot, I was stranded for seven or eight hours, nothing worked on the car. The doors would not even lock. The car had to be towed to the dealership. There is another post on the forum explaining some of the things I have gone through with this car.
I had problems with the injectors. They all had to be replaced and I still had problems. I returned the car to the dealer and they could not fix the problem.
Mercedes USA did a buy back. They gave me most of my money back. I am now looking for a CLS 500. Anyone know where I can purchase new one at a reasonable price?

Understandable. Ironically my cls550 was a replacement to a lemon for another brand, and have been blessed by the car been rock solid so far.
When I go mine it was a year ago and got it from 84 to 71k just with some haggling and got a great lease playing the MF and term.
I would start calling all dealers in the area and get them to fight for your business. Keep in mind though that the longer you take the smaller the inventory with the options you might want. Best of luck

Look at some of the MB dealerships here in Houston. They have some really good deals on CPO CLS550s. '14 with 19,xxx miles on it for $58. Black on black. I got mine in April with 211 miles on it for under $65.

Every car brand has their share of lemons, even Lexus. To recommend to other not to buy a certain brand due to a small percentage of lemons is not constructive. My wife had a new Audi that was a lemon, and we bought 3 more Audi after that which was problem free. Its like getting struck with lighting, it hardly ever happen twice.

I have a 2015 cls400 and it's a quality item. Owned a few bmw's (335) and an Audi a7 prior. The Benz is hands down the most well built and reliable car I've ownedowned. The Audi was terrible, that pop-up monitor is just stupid as it doesn't open or close when it is overheating. The cls is also just plain SEXy, I get more looks at this car than my fbo 335.
