2012 CLS550 <4000 miles

Posted pics in new members' forum, but should post some here. 2012 CLS550 with 2961 miles when purchased in December 2016. Storm red with almond/mocha inerior. It's obvious why it had to be 4Matic.

It is a beauty for sure! And with that kind of mileage it is obvious the previous owner only used it as a summer car. Enjoy!

Congrats on the car, it's gorgeous.

Now some friendly advice. I purchased a 2014 w low mileage as well back in late October. Mine is white diamond exterior w almond/mocha interior. I recently noticed a few unsightly stains on my a and b pillars. I somehow didn't notice them when I purchased, probably due to excitement. I went to my local pep boys a few days ago and purchased "tuf stuff". It worked miracles and cleaned the stains right up. I was extremely surprised and definitely glad I tried it. Just an FYI in case you come across any stains on your light colored interior

Small stain on A pillar, that I noticed on inspection at the dealership. I didn't notice the cobwebs on the visors until I got home. Seriously. Cobwebs. LOL

Congrats. Just got my 2014 CLS550 Diamond white myself with 7600 miles on it a week ago. Although either there is flat spots in the tires or the Pirelli P Zero's suck. Dealer Road force balanced them but they still vibrate. What tires do you guys have? Any recommendations?

did they check the rims for bends? With such low miles it's reasonable that flat spotting occurred

I'm assuming they did since they took all 4 off the car to road force balance them. There was no marks or curb rash on any of the rims. They said they'd be able to tell with their new machine if the tires had flat spots. It's not horrible but it's definitely noticeable.

I have the Continental Pro Contacts, which I think were original on mine. Currently, I have Blizzaks mounted, because Minnesota. Winter should be over...but, maybe not. I'm happy with the Continentals.

I am irrationally biased against Pirellis, as I didn't like the road noise and fast wear on the P6's on my old Audi; those P6's would squeal while parked, I swear. I liked Conti Pro Contacts and Supreme Contacts on that A6. My wife's car has P Zero Neros, which seem good so far, so maybe I will change my mind regarding Pirellis.

One more thing: alignment is okay? I should think it would be fine, and tire issue seems more likely, but tires aren't the only thing that vibrates. Your ride should be very smooth. Also, rims can be bent on the chassis side, but the dealer should have noted that when the wheels were dismounted.

That's nice, low miles on that car. Best of luck with the vibration issue.

Thanks. Yeah, alignment should be good. They always do a 4 wheel alignment on the MB CPO cars at the dealer. Apparently these folks that traded it in have 3 houses and this was there care here. They mostly live in the Caribbean. I'm still suspecting flat spots. I just don't know if I want to take it back and deal with that again or just put on the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's and sell these. Car still smells new. It stayed in the garage mostly. I guess I should complain again. I'm here in SC but in the mountains and we do get cold sometimes. Not sure if summer tires all year is good when we get down into freezing temps part of the year.

Vibration fixed at dealer today. The Right front and right rear wheels were bent. They fixed them with some machine. Sorry for hijacking your post @Stens! You have a beautiful ride my friend.
