Hey Everyone!
Just chiming in as I just purchased a new to me, 2012 CLS 550 Launch Edition. Has 41k on the odometer and I absolutely LOVE it! Huge Benz fan. 98 CLK320, 2009 E350, 89 300E and I also have a 2004 CLK 500. I was pretty active on those forums so let's see what the w218 side has! Big Benz family!
Here are some photos!
Thanks,
Angelo

Very nice! It seems they're quite popular lately, I just picked mine up a couple of weeks ago. Similar mileage to yours.
It's my first Mercedes, I absolutely love it.

Launch Editions are the first year of a new body style. Mercedes makes them with a limited color combination. In this case, steel / tenorite grey with graphite wheels, ash interior, two tone interior including on doors, "Edition 1" mats, and all package upgrades including Distronic.
Apparently Launch Editions are specially ordered by a Mercedes dealership and they can only get one upon request.

Oh I have plenty of plans for it, not sure the wife is on-board with them though
I want to get a Lowering Module, Meisterschaft exhaust and a set of Vossen VFS-2s. I'll probably just end up with a resonator delete or something like that.
Do you have any plans for yours?

I got the extended warranty for 3300 and its $50 deductible and 3/36000 bumper to bumper.
Those vs2 rims look amazing. Did you like the graphite colored ones?

I paid 32,500. I feel like it was a fair price. When i was siting in the lobby waiting for them to finish the detailing I noticed a Minieke across the street. I went there right after i drove off the lot. Did the resonator delete for 120$. It has a nice growl in the car now when you are driving around . Not too noticeable when you are at a light or parked. I had the car over night on Friday and had that removed on Saturday.

Yeah, I was looking at the graphite wheels. Someone on here had them fitted to their CLS and got me wanting them.

Interesting. I'll have to find somewhere around here that does it. Is it really noticeable in the cabin when you're cruising along? I'd like to avoid a lot of drone.

I watched the guy cut the two front resonators. I didnt want to cut the muffler. I dont know if i can find a video of a car with the muffler deleted and resonators kept. Im very happy with the sound now.
Which parts were exactly deleted? People have gone back and forth which parts they've deleted. Can you confirm please? Don't want an overly loud exhaust, but just that growl. On my CLK500 I deleted the resonator, mufflers and added cherry bomb glass packs and it's sounds perfect for that car, but wouldn't do on this. It's a different kind of car.

Looks great. I’m thinking of doing a chrome delete and tints on mine but I wasn’t sure if it’d look strange with the dark grey paint. You’ve cleared that up for me!

The darker the tint, the better in my opinion....until you drive at night, but it’s worth it!
