UPGRADED. Goodbye W212, Hello C218
I have driven E-Classes (W210 and W212) for many years and just bought my first 2013 CLS550 4Matic last week in Cuprite Brown with Almond/Mocha interior (31,xxx miles).
It's loaded with P1, PARKTRONIC w/ Active Parking Assist, Active Multicontour Driver Seat, KEYLESS GO, illuminated door sills, trunk spoiler, AMG wheels, sport steering wheel and lane tracking package......
Man, what a car!!! My E-classes were great, but the two additional cylinders and two turbos in the CLS (among other things) make this a really special ride. Looking forward to the miles ahead.............

Interestingly, when I test drove it for the first time on city streets, i thought I was going to pass on the car as the ride was simply too harsh. I then quickly realized the suspension was in its firmest setting and once I changed it, it drives like a dream. Sport suspension setting on the highway is awesome, but too rough for the city.
In addition, night time driving with the LED's is unparalleled and the engine.......oh the engine..........it's awesome. I had the resonator removed yesterday and straight pipes installed in it's place. The exhaust note now is perfect. A nice rumble on cold starts and throughout acceleration and then completely unobtrusive when at a constant speed. I have no idea why people would spend the money to replace the entire exhaust when you can do what I did for $140 at a qualified muffler shop.

I know 4Matic is popular in the north due to winter snow, but it is equally effective in the south where it rains quite often, It's a dream to have AWD in the rain at highway speeds. Brilliant!!!
