Forgot to post this sooner. olszowa12 made me a custom carbon fiber grill. It came in last week and I installed it on Friday.

Yeah someone else noticed that...not sure why in pictures it looks that off...it's off just a tick, but not that bad...have to figure out how I'm going to straighten it.

HAHA! Just figured out you can twist the star and it pops right now, so now I can get it perfectly aligned.

Do you have any contact information for the guy that moded your grille? Is that his User ID on MBWorld you listed above? How much was the custom work and did he Hydro dip it or wrap and paint it?


Your grille looks very good man.... I've been looking for a matte black but haven't had any luck finding one. I was able to find most of these things easily for my S550 but the CLS is giving me some grief.

It's not painted, or hydro dipped. This is completely wrapped in carbon fiber and then resin.

I couldn't find squat either...

If you just want matte black, you have a few options of course. 1) have it professionally painted, 2) paint it yourself (not hard to do), 3) plasti-dip instead of paint, or 4) have it wrapped in matte black vinyl.

Having it wrapped in carbon fiber wasn't cheap, but it was worth it.

I'll give him a call once I finish installing this water methanol kit. I have to knock out these performance MODS first. I do love the grille though and with the carbon interior I have I think they will mesh well.
