I WOULD HOLD OFF ORDERING THESE! I am having trouble getting them to fit without falling apart. I may use epoxy or JB Weld to keep them together so I can install them. Cheap, but no instructions! I'm pissed! Marv

Excuse my bluntness here but the bars only fit together one way, They are slotted. Put all 4 bars into the airbox and simply place the air filter ontop of it.... No JB weld or epoxy needed. I would take your car to a professional before you damage something!!!

its as easy as this:

Thread the screws from the bottom,
put the bars together in the bottom half of the box and put the air filter on.
The put the lid on the box and tighten the screws.

Lol wtf? I was one of first to get them and no issues. You might be putting them on backwards. I did that and figured it out

Your bluntness is not appreciated. Instructions would have prevented my mistakes. Not really seeing any gains from these!

Have you been to a dyno?

Let's see your dyno charts, maybe I missed them on your website!

Don't worry, you didn't.

However dynos for this mod have been posted to the forum multiple times. Are you running with stock filters?

Hes trying to help you and your coming off as a dick like you are owed something. You could have just simply posted a pic like how do I put these together? That’s what I did and VRP helped me

I'm not an idiot and your attitude towards me is demeaning. I am using stock MB filters (new). There is a trade-off when using high flow filters, allowing more particulates into the engine, creating added wear. I choose to us MB filters, knowing they flow less, but filter better. Maybe you have some data to prove me wrong, along with dyno runs to substantiate your lincoln-log riser. Marv

His only comments came after I complained. Instructions in the lincoln-log riser kit would have helped. I like any other purchaser would expect to receive a complete kit. including instructions. I was in a hurry trying to get these installed before a MB track day. Have a nice day!

Hopefully the 3 steps I outlined are clear enough.

What kind of gains can be expected from this kit.

Good question! Because mine were added after a tune, I can't say I feel an appreciable difference. The logic of the riser seems sound, so there should be a noticeable difference. The vendor says Dyno graphs have been shared on this forum, but I haven't found them. Maybe they should back up claims with a dyno run.

So is this just like a spacer that gets installed on the factory intakes? Excuse my lack of knowledge but I have never tried to "hook up" a luxury car like a Mercedes before. I have messed around w my Honda's and Nissan's and replaced entire intakes but haven't seen this particular upgrade before.

I just did a search on the UDP intake kit it and it seems to confirm what I'm thinking. Also, they claim 25hp gains on a dyno. That's not bad. Anyone know if this kit will perform the same or similar? Also, will the sound of the car change at all? I'm guessing no and I don't want everyone to hear me coming down the street. That's what I have my 350z for and also when I drive my wifes AMG in sport+ mode. In the past, when I have installed a CAI on my Japanese cars they have added a slight whistling sounds, almost like faking a turbo. Thanks in advance for any input.

They are functionally identical, Add a set of AFE filters to your order for maximum horsepower gain!
