New owner, time for mods and questions
Hi all, just traded in my Lexus GS F-sport that I got last year for a CLS550 as the Lexus did nothing for me. Hoping to stay the OEM+ route with this car, have already done my research on most things and did a couple of small "mods" (led reverse, debadge, tint, etc) and have a few questions:
-I am looking at the 63S AMG 10 spoke wheels in black with polished lip and have found them in 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear with 35 offset, will these fit and if so what size tires?
-The car has full airmatic, can this be lowered via STAR or do I need to get aftermarket module (likely go with LoMo) is STAR doesn't work?
-Has anyone found a carbon rear diffuser without third brake light (one similar to 63 but carbon)?

Can only help a little
Can’t help with lowering, as I drive mine in Minnesota...in the country...on gravel roads...in the winter. I use the raise button a lot. Also, craters in the roads after the winters require suspension travel.
Get some decent lock pins, the stock ones are pitiful: plastic with what the modelers would call “sprue”. Lots of eBay options here, all cheap. This doesn’t sound like much, but the stock ones drove me nuts. 5 minute job to install; don’t actually have to remove the door trim.
Seriously consider getting an ECU flash. I guess I like to get the performance up before the appearance...but whatever you prefer as priority is right for you. What I prefer is pretty much irrelevant... except for the lock pins. Seriously.

I'm a practical person so my first mod was the BMC air filters. Better flow and less maintenance costs.

These guys offer lifetime warranty on every part.
I bought my oil filter and cabin air filter from them now never need to purchase again.
Not sure about you guys but I've heard and have this issue, brakes get warped very easily. So the next thing is I'm buying rotors and pads from those guys as well which will be nice to have lifetime warranty on OEM parts.
Renntech tune, and diverter are on the list after that.
