New 2012 CLS owner w/ door lock question
Hello All!
I've been a member of this site for awhile, but finally became an owner of the car I've had my eye one for awhile. Pick up a 2012 CLS550 with 46K after driving an 2012 A7 for the last couple years and love the CLS! It has the P1 package and no modifications, but that will be changing soon!
One question I do have is about the auto lock function. All doors except the rear drivers side door seems to be working and wondering if someone can offer some advise or reply with a link to someone that might have experienced anything similar. The lock itself works with the inside door lock, just not getting anything with the sensors on the outside door handle. I've tried searching the site with little luck.

Hey! Sorry I don't know how I missed this thread! Congrats on your new CLS How does it compare to the A7? They're on my list of possible replacements when time comes to move on from the CLS.
What mods do you have planned?

I am also new here and this site isn't very active at all. I came from a Cadillac CTS and the CTS forum is very active compared to this one. Nice car you have there. Mine is a 2013 CLS550 with only 17.5K Certified pre-owned miles and I love it. Let's see if we can wake up this forum! Marv

Hey TNTim thanks for the welcome and I love the CLS! I really don't have anything bad to say about the A7. Had one with the prestige package with almost every option, but definitely a stiffer ride compared to the CLS with the airmatic suspension. Not to mention the V8! You can't get that in an Audi unless you go with the S7. I'm going to do some cosmetic upgrades first, window tint, probably spacers on the stock wheels for now and black out on the window trim. Found a link in post to the 3M vinyl that looks fairly easy. Also thinking about getting rid of the badges on the sides of the fenders. Think it looks better without those!

Just say NO to Audi's. They look good but have long term horrible quality and are much harder to work on. We've had 7 Audi's and I cant stand them at all anymore.
