CLS 550 Diffuser removal

Hi guys, new to the forum and new owner of a w218 Cls 550!

Im in the process of changing the oem rear diffuser to a carbon fiber CLS63 style one. I have already purchased the AMG tips and diffuser. I want to remove the oem one without any damage.

anyone have a process of doing this so it can go smoothly? is it a bumper off type of job? any help will be appreciated. I know the 4 rivets must be drilled out and some screws but is it tricky getting the diffuser off the bumper itself?

thanks

If I wanted to just convert my CLS400 diffuser to a carbon fibre CLS63 one, is it an easy job/how long would it take? I don't want to add quad tips and all that.

Well if you add the cls63 diffuser you won't have exhaust tips as the cls400 has fake exhaust tips mounted to the diffuser. So if you want the AMG diffuser you will need to add exhaust tips/new exhaust.

Additionally, Marco polo15 observed that the carbon fiber diffuser is a waste of money, as it's really not noticeable. Save your money!
