2012 CLS550 4matic Intro and Mods
Well folks after my bad string of events and luck upon initial purchase of my vehicle, I finally got everything sorted out and on to the fun modding process.
A little bit about myself, I come from the Lexus world and my last few previous “fun cars” was my 2008 Isf and 2016 Rcf. I just became so fed up with Lexus and their direction, I was bound to move to another manufacturer. I’ve always loved AMG’s and was on the hunt for a fun daily. This led to the purchase if my 2012 CLS550 4matic. Being in the northeast it made perfect sense to choose the 550 over a 63amg.
So far I’ve gotten the OE stage 1 tune, and cannot praise them enough for their customer service and excellent product! It totally transforms the car, just as everyone claims. I also just completed my rear diffuser/ exhaust setup. Since everyone on here is interested in the diffuser and exhaust transformations I will share exactly what I did. I purchase a used oem cls63 diffuser from ebay and since it was used had some minor scuffs on it, so I plasti dipped the diffuser to clean up the look of the scuffs. I had a bodyshop install it along with the lower bumper cover bracket: part 218-885-18-14. Another member in here recommended it so keep the diffuser sturdy once installed, and I’m thankful for that advice. Lastly I ordered a pair of dual outlet replica amg tips, also from ebay. I researched the exact size that would fit perfectly, as there are many “amg type” tips online. I wanted to create a custom look without trying to go for the typical cls63 look rear conversion, I went for the classic amg oval tip design. I feel as though the round flows well with the rear if the car. Lastly I had the exhaust shop delete the mufflers for a deeper growl. It’s very minor compared a full exhaust setup or deleting some of the cats, I wanted to keep it closer to stock because it’s a daily and I feel as though it achieved exactly what I was going for. I will upload video soon.
My last mod for the (time being) will be either a setup of amg type stock looking 19” wheels. Or 20s with an OBD drop.
Enjoy the pics! Increased the contrast because it was so sunny so you guys could see the actual diffuser. Also the first set of pics are with the stock tips, looks funny... the bodyshop for some reason left it on even though I told them to take it off.

Hey all finally got around to installing my wheels. These are TSW 20x8.5 front and 20x10.5 rears with 255/30 and 305/25 tires. Also put some black mercedes center caps. All pics were in comfort mode. Next up is the lomo lowering module. Enjoy.

@nysupraman looks nice. Question: Do you think we can fit 315/25/20 in the rear? I don't need tires right now but want to rune wider in the future. I'm currently running 295/30/20.

Also those TSWs you put on look great, which ones were those? The concave aspect looks so good on this car.
