How did you replace the hood emblem? Did you just pry it out or use fishing line?

I am looking to replace the default one to black as well. Do you have the part number or link where you bought it from? Thanks

No scratches? I've been trying how to get to mine and this seems much easier.

Looks good!

To swap the grill star, is it just twist left and pull? Or is it different?

I did mine and it was easy but important to know how it attaches to the nose.
You have to pry the original one out, but use plastic trim removal tools, otherwise you could scratch the surrounding paint.
The new one just pops back in by hand.

I'd like to wrap the gray portion of my grille fins, leaving the chrome piece untouched.
I can't figure out how to remove the chrome strips and my chrome grille star doesn't just twist off.

Any help would be appreciated!

they are sold separate and clipped in so they would have to be pushed out from behind. Your star has been on for awhile so it will need to be turned with some force for it to turn and come right off

I figured out the grille star removal.
One little give away detail is in 703Benzito's first photo.
The chrome star does not twist off. The round black housing, that the star attaches to, does!
Grab the black plastic can, inboard of the 3 star fins, twist counter clockwise, @ 1/8 turn.
