Hello everyone, figured I’d put together a short build thread just to keep track of what I’ve done.
starting off I have a 2014 CLS550 finished in steel grey metallic with around 75k miles.

I like the look of the paint choice. Where did you pick that up at? Also for de-badging, what was your process in order to not scratch it?
I picked it up outside of Atlanta. Got a decent deal on it. it was a precious CPO model.
for the debadging, the goal is to heat up the emblems enough that the adhesive holding them on becomes loose. I have a heat gun or during some hot summer temps when the emblems have some flex works. Use dental floss to cut the adhesive holding it on. There will still probably be some residual adhesive on the car. then carefully use your finger or a razor blade and some goo gone (Necessary) to get the remaining adhesive off. Then wash that area and polish and wax it. Pretty straightforward.
its Duplicolor wheel paint. Satin black. You can get it at any auto parts store. Did 3-4 coats of that than 2 coats of the Duplicolor matte clear coat.
