Did Painting Job on reflectors!!

I asked to remove my reflector from the front bumper, but the price to remove the reflectors was too high($600), so I painted the reflectors with body color.

Huh?

Let me understand this ... you painted over the chrome trim on your front bumper but you bolted on a chrome license plate and frame?

He painted over the orange reflectors. What chrome trim are you referring to?

I'm just trying to understand why you would paint something that is there for the safety of the driver and the vehicle. My point was (no insult intended) to understand why you would eliminate the reflectors but have a dummy plate on the front of your car. If you are looking for a more mono-color look, why not remove the dummy license plate?

The license plate is just temporary one before the Personal lisense plate. I tried to put silver or chrome lisense plate, but there was no stock in the store About the reflector issue, european version has no yellowish reflector, but they still drive CLS safely (No insult intended)

LOL...I told my dealer that is he puts holes in my front bumper and a front license plate holder on the CLS I ordered he gets to keep it. Never had a license plate, never will - I'll take the citations all day long - especially in Los Angeles where they have all those photo traffic lights that mail you citations. Had my E for 24 months - never had a plate on it. Get one fix-it ticket every year on average, but I never get the stop light tickets and it looks clean as can be.
Note: This is not a good idea for everyone - don't know how the laws are in different countries and states.

BTW - nice job on painting the reflectors. Looks good. Did you just take them off and have them painted?

Yes John. I asked to take off the reflectors and paint them. One day later, the body shop finished job and put them back on the bumper. It took just 5 minutes to take off the reflector. ($85 for the painting job).

I am not the expert here but now that I see the paint option for the markers, I will definitely wait for clears to come out, or patch the holes, or put a whole euro bumper. No offense, but now the bumper looks like it has 2 unidentified bumps on each side!?!
