Designo CLS packages
I just learned from my dealer that there are two designo packages for the CLS due to arrive within a few days. The first is the designo graphite package which we have seen before albeit with piano black wood. The second is called Mystic White, which is a pearl white exterior with cashmere/matte oak on the inside which sounds exactly like the designo launch edition interior. Funny, there is nothing on MBUSA about this.
I saw a CLS500 in white for the first time in person yesterday and was impressed althought I worry pearl white might make the car appear too much like a Japanese car. Anyone see this designo package in the flesh?

Designo Mystic White
I have ordered a CLS55 and was torn between the 2 colors. Neither my dealer nor the folks at MB could find a swatch in the Mystic White. I have searched the internet as well with no luck. This was 2 weeks ago. Doubt there has been much progress. The dealer said it would be like the Escalade 
but I really don't think anyone in the US has seen it. Rather than gamble, I opted for the Graphite. The interior sounds awesome in both packages.

I am also in the process of ordering a Designo CLS 55. The 2 color choice I have are Obsidian Black or Graphite. I've seen a lot of Obsidian Black CLS 55's but have never seen one in Grapite. Anyone have any pics of a CLS 55 in Designo Graphite? I currently have an 06 CLS 500 in Iridum Silver.

Designo graphite
I have searched the net high and low for photos of the Designo Graphite on the CLS. There is an ad on the AutoTrader for a CLS500 in Graphite Designo but the photo is Iridium. Likely they have the car ordered but not in yet. One can see other Mercedes models in graphite if you do a Google search. My CLS55 will be in November 8th and likely is one of the first in the US. When I finalized my order the package was just made available. I will post photos as soon as it comes in! 
Are you certain about the other Designo choice you mentioned. It is my understanding that the other option is Mystic White

"Piano Black " is something I have never heard of.

Uh-oh, I just checked the worldwide designo website and I saw the porcelain color which I think is for the seats on the designo graphite edition. This color is almost white- not a very practical choice.

Porcelain
I had the same concerns before ordering the porcelain interior. Only the seats and the door panels are porcelain. The dealer tells me it is a very durable leather and will not show wear in that color. Had to get that color with the Graphite paint. Unlike in Europe where one can choose his or her own color combinations. What's up with that?

I got one
I just picked up a designo graphite CLS 500 yesterday and will post pictures tomorrow when the weather is supposed to improve. The seats are very white and I won't dare wear jeans on them.

Everyone interested in an AMG-designo:
The interior will vary slightly from what we are seeing on the picture. AMGs come with a different steering-wheel and shift-knob (without wood). The graphite-edition won't come with a light headliner, the headliner will be charcoal. The door-inserts will be even (without piping as shown, they will have the same shape as the standard AMG-ones, just different color (sporty appearance).
Since German is my native language, I had the possibility to have a closer look at the content of the designo-package. Luckily, we get the more expensive one in the States (including the door-inserts), so there are actually 4 versions in Germany (designo and extended designo, standard and AMG-version). Those "packages" do not include the Alcantara Headliner, upgraded wood and exterior paint. Germany has a bigger selection, but the same package would almost cost twice as much as in the U.S.

the designo looks great. i love the graphite edition. porcelain color leather looks great, but is perhaps a bit impractical. so in the US, is there no way to order designo graphite package with a different Designo leather other than porcelain? or must graphite go with porcelain in the US? same with finishes - can you get something like anthracite poplar instead of piano black in the US?

really?didnt check on that one though...my bad..hehe..
but as far as i know, other options like dvd, tv or any other stuff is offered more in the Asia. altough there are not many much interior color to choose.

Unfortunately, some options aren't available in the U.S. that come STANDARD in Europe or elsewhere (like folding ext. mirrors etc.). The color choice is very, very limited...
