air release when I park my car

air release when I park my car

Please tell me if this is normal or not. When I park my car and lock the door sometime I feel and hear the air release from my suspension. Is this happen to anyone?

Yes it's air suspension.

After you lock your car, airmatics lowers car little.
It has to release air to lower the car and that's what you heard.

this is normal don't worry as jwkim said it is realted to suspension system ( car is lowerd when parking )

The function description for Airmatic doesn't say anything about lowering when parking. However, it does say that the system will stay awake for 2 minutes after locking the doors, and will make ride height corrections during this time. The reason that there is commonly a pressure release is that weight (the people) was removed from the vehicle and more than likely it is lowering itself to compensate for the weight removal.
