Blackberry 8700 with Bluetooth on CLS 550

I just want to share with everyone that I have a Blackberry 8700 from Cingular. It works wonderfully with my 2007 CLS 550 with the Bluetooth kit. All contacts showed up on the Command screen and I have 500+ contacts. It takes about two minutes to upload every time I get inside the car. Besides that, it is a great system. There is a little bug though, after the Blackberry connects to the car’s Bluetooth system, the volume turns to middle on the blackberry. Not a big deal for me though.

how long do you suppose 3000 contacts would take?

Takes about 2 min for 500. However, my contacts are somewhat large, with a lot of notes.

Its because your BlackBerry volume resets for each call. I have mine set at 75% and I adjust it as needed. You can disable that setting on your phone to maintain the same volume you left it at or to reset to a specific volume each time you use it.

Thanks for your feedback. I do have my Default call volume set to - Previous. I will set it to 75% and see what happens.

hmmm, if you have it set to "previous" then I don't think thats it. What about under hands free options under the bluetooth connections

I agree with you 'MB Fanatic'. Their Bluetooth intergration is much better than their iPod intergration.

Simba -

This is great news. I just got an AMG e63 and was debating whether or not to get the bluetooth adapter for my BBerry 8700/Cingular. Can you tell me if you notice anything not working - e.g. steering wheel buttons, etc. And once you fixed the volume setting - what kind of fidelity do you report for you and your caller?

Thanks so much.

BK Benz - For $350, worth every penny, especially on your $90k + car. Everything works and sound quality is good on both ends. No dropped calls so far.
