Smile 2006 CLS (Deal or no Deal)

Live in NYC and here are the best offers I got from 2 different dealers on a 2006 CLS with Launch Package

New (leftover) 2006 = $65900

Demo car with 7000 miles = $58900

Both let me walk out without going any lower....what do you think?
-------------------------------------------------

The dealer with the demo car also offered to Certify Pre Own the car for the cost of $800 to me.

Also neither car had the nav (not included in launch edition for some unknown reason even though almost every other option is even wood steering wheel) color is indium metallic with cashmere nappa leather and matte natural wood

Dealers say Nav was additonal $2200 but they would charge me $1700. So add $1700 to the top figures on both cars because I am not getting this car without the nav

Buy the demo and use the $7000 you save on some nice rims and other mods. The car is under warranty for 3 more years so your covered if anything goes wrong.

Good luck.

The 2007 has more power, tighter steering, and better brakes... the 2006 is not a bad car at all but the 2007 is quite a bit better so I can't see why saving a couple thousand bucks would by itself be a determiner.

Well it is like $10,000 less than an 07 that is equipped the same so it is a good chunk of cash

CLS 550 Black AMG pkg. E55 Platinum Blue Monte Carlo Blue Acura NSX-T Desert SilverBMW 650
Buy neither

I agree with jnolan if you drive the 2007 its nite and day a hell of a better car 300hp vs. 382hp come on thats enough as it is. But also I bought a new 2007 with the amg pkg p2 pkg for $70, so you gotta get a better deal than what your stating. If you don't drive the 07 you'll be sorry when u do

Pigcorn,
I paid $65,500 for my 2007 CLS with P2 option package, wood trim, and parktronic. Special_k's AMG package is another $5k I think, so basically both of us are telling you that you are not getting any kind of deal on either of the cars you are looking at.

The CLS is in demand but that doesn't mean you should be paying MSRP for it and the fact that the dealer has inventory should tell you that.

2010 RRS ; BMW K1200R; 14 E350 ; 14 RRS on order
Get the 07 550 like everyone is telling you.
DO NOT get this car without P2, Nav, and AMG package. It's a HUGE difference.

The P2 option package (and P1 for that matter) include DVD navigation.

That is good insight. It is funny, not sure if it is the NYC area dealers but they don't budge much and when you walk out most of the time they never even give you a call back. Great price on the 07 now you have me thinking

I agree, to get this car without some of the luxury basics is a shame.

Priced out your cars and wondering how you got such great deals.

AMG kit and P2 at 70 is almost $3500 below invoice

P2, trim, park for 65 is almost $5000 below invoice
