is it safe? i believe so... no one can duplicate a key except for benz dealer..

once you place the order, you'll get a email from jamiepickard... he'll want you to FAX or email a copy of your registration and a driver license matching the registration...

then when your key arrives.. it should be programmed!!!

i m not sure about the old blade key fitting into the new smart key.. its only $4... i suggest you not take any chances...

old blade will definitely NOT fit into the new key. The new key does have a little loop that appears when the blade isn't in though, unlike the old key.

my friend has leased a SLK350 back in 2006, but he cannot order the new chrome key. Is it because he LEASED the car???

You guys, will go out of your way to pocket $13.00, but blow your $$$s on a burn out, a couple of pedals to the metal, etc. JUST PAY THE DEALER.
