Dead battery in 4-5 days

I am wondering if there is somthing wrong with my CLS 500 recharging system or battery. If I do not drive it for 4-5 days, the battery will go dead. MBZ had already replaced the battery. Rusnak MBZ in Pasadena also kept it for 2 days and checked it. They told me the passenger seat's heating/cooling module was drawing too much current and they replaced it. However, the problem just got a little better. Instead of 2-3 days, it will go dead 4-5 days.

My Honda Accord can go weeks without going dead. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

That does not sound normal. Bring it back and make a pretty big stink about it, and they will really search out the problem. Right now they are just going for the easy stuff,so they can pump through as much work as they can.

Thanks. I will probably take it to a different dealer this time.

Has anyone had experience with leaving their car alone for an extended period of time (longer than 1-2 days)? I am curious if CLS is just bad because it has a lot of electronics.

i caught a flat on wed, and parked the car on the street for 2 days, when i went to start it, it felt like as if i left my lights on and the music blasting, if i would of waited another day, it prolly would of for been dead for sure.

If that is the case, I guess I should expect the battery to be dead after 4-6 days.

I have left mine for more than a week without any problems. It sounds as though there is something drawing current when it shouldn't. The dealer must be able to resolve this.

the dealer sucks, they keep blaming it on the battery, when they change it they say they dont know what the problem is.

i hear things running from my dash, like a little fan, even when the car is off. that could be something related no?

I have left my CLS in the garage for up to 2 weeks without any problem. There are a several electrical consumers that stay active for several minutes after locking the car. The whirling sound in the dash or in the trunk (the DVD navigation disk comes to mind) all cease after a few minutes.

The only thing I can hear is the suspension that goes up or down (I can hear a sligh hissing noise) when I open the door. May be that is drawing the power because the computer has to monitor the doors or something.

Have the SA speak with the shop foreman. They need to perform a quiescent current test at the fuses pinpointing closed-circuit system(s) responsible for voltage drop. It involves disconnecting fuses or CAN-distributors and measuring the voltage drop directly at the fuse. Mention bulletin S-B-54.10/162.
