Renntech Lowering Module

Whats up guys. Here is the new Renntech lowering Module Version 2. With this new version you can change the hight of all 4 wheels, and add a remote which you can mount inside the car for quick easy access. I set it on position 2 in the front and position 3 in the rear. I can totally drop it on position 0 on all four wheels, but just for show.

Nice! I like it alot. let me ask you did you install it yourself? any problems? they talk about a wireless remote or possibly a wired remote going into the ashtray so you can adjust as much as you want. No details only rumors. did you see any info on it ?

Thank you Jocampo. I had my installer do it for me. It comes with detailed step by step instructions. No problems. Renntech has confirmed that a wired/wireless remote will be available later this year for this new version of the module.

Yeah, i will, i got quoted 1078.00 from a friend. Right now my car is lowered via star about 1 inch in the rear, and 3/4 inch in the front. Looks good but i'd rather have the flexability of the module. Is any of those photos on the 0 setting? If not please post pics!

pic #4 (rear wheel) is at 0. I can go even lower if I set it to factory, then Lower in via star. After that, I can just turn the module on again and slam it, but only for show. I will never drive it that low.

The Lorinser kit for the CLS is usually sold without the fenders. Price range should be around $8000. $10,000 with fenders. If you find it cheaper then you are getting a good deal. And watch out for the fake kits.

I thank you all for the feedback.

With the Renntech module are any of you seeing issues with camber? I recall reading that some of the owners are having issues with their tires wearing faster on the inner edge due to lowering changing the geometry....But I'm not sure if that is an issue with the DIY version, the links, or the modules.

Renntech offers a camber kit for another ~1200.00 (over the ~1400 for the module installed). If it stops me from buying new tires every six months it's worth it. At ~400/tire it won't take long to recover the cost, if it works.

The local shop recommended it, of course, but I don't know them well enough to take them on their word just yet. They wanted to sell me everything RT makes for the CLS suspension, the module, the camber kit, and the toe-link kit. So, I'm taking a step back and asking the real experts, all of you, the people that are on the streets with the cars and the mods.

I just installed the new 20" rims and got the clear marker light covers snapped in. But before I post pics I'd like to get the module installed. Once I figure this part out I'm going to order the module with/without the camber kit.

Thanks
Steve
