CLS550..need more HP!!!

I agree with Baker. I drive a 2007 CLS550 and just like you I've gotten bored with the current horsepower. But when I research options (Kleeman, Carlsson, Renntech) it just seems cheaper to trade my car for a AMG model. Swapping my cls550 with 40k miles for a identical mileage AMG model would be cheaper than trying to upgrade my current car. Plus as soon as I add anything to my existing cars internals, my warranty is gone. Getting a CLS63 or even a CLS55 with 40k mileage would still give me 10k left on warranty. Good luck whatever you decide.

I agree. Or better yet, unless you already have a lot of track time experience and instruction, spend the money on yourself and attend as many high performance driving schools or racing schools as you can afford. That will help you drive safer and faster every day and last you a lifetime, long after you've traded your upgraded CLS or AMG.

Forget the AMG everybody has one not so exclusive......I have everything from Kleemann just waiting till march to get the CAMS and Kompressor....with all the mods i have i can take a CLS 550 no prob......so if u go with another tuner the possibilities are way more even AMG people on this forums go ahead and open up there cars to make more power or look different......Id reccomend Kleemann or Renntech Kleemann is Affordable....

The Kleeman charger alone will run you ~$10,000+ for product and install. With all the other mods you will make just to "equal" the AMG power you are easily looking at close to 15k+. If the poster said he was ONLY buying a 09 then I would agree that it would be smarter to get the CLS550 since the prices differ ~$30k but he wants to buy 07. An 06 CLS55 with nearly identical 07 CLS550 mileage will only cost about 5-10k more and you get the peace of mind everything was put together soundly.
But for poster..if you want more performance mods..hit up the CLS AMG forum..they are more into performance modding and you would get more feedback that you are looking for.
