Trade 2007 cls 550 for 2007 cls63 amg for 10K difference is this good?
Hey guys, I have an opportunity to trade my 2007 cls550 sport amg package with 43K miles for a 2007 cls63 amg 47K miles with amg premilum delimiter package for about 10K difference. Is this a good trade or deal? I always longed for the 63 amg but couldn't pay the difference before. I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything I shouldn't. Any ideas guys? And also if it is a good deal, what is the best upgrade for the money on the amg cls? A renntech ecu? Thanks in advance fellas!

Hey, you know what? You are absolutely right- the 10K doesn't make a difference for the difference. I hav e not driven the cls63 amg yet, but I only hear great things about it. I'm gonna go for it.

I would go for it. For 10K you get a lot for the AMG. Engine to break system to suspensions etc... all those will cost at least 10K to upgrade a 550. I would do it myself if i can find a good deal. Mine is a Diamond White Edition 2008 with 18K on it. Wouldn't mine pitching it 10K for an AMG.

I actually got a PPI done today on the car as below. I know my cls550 isn't perfect, and my detailing guys are very very precise, so I don't know if this is bad-
Chips:
- (2) small deep on trunk
- (8) on hood
- Bottom of p/s rear door (rusting)
- Bottom of p/s front door (rear corner)
Dings:
- (4) d/s rear door
- (1) d/s front door (small)
Scratch:
- (1) p/s front of front door
- (1) d/s of hood (2’ from rear) (NF)
- (1) d/s fender (NF)
- (1) p/s fender
- Wet sand marks on rear of d/s rear door (upper part) (NF)
- Behind turns signals on front bumper (F)
- Bottom of d/s door (F)
REPAINT:
- D/S front and rear doors (painted over scratches on rear door)
- P/S Quarter (painted over chip)
- Upper rear door
- Front and rear bumpers
WHEELS:
- D/S front edge curbed (F)
- D/S front center small chips (F)
- All wheel centers streaked from chemical (F)
INTERIOR:
- NAV screen scratched and d/s bottom corner worn out (NF)
- (2) small tears - d/s front seat back
- D/S front door – headrest adj. knob missing
- Hole in carpet under dead pedal
- Small tear on rear center console
MISC:
- Missing p/s RFA paint protection film (F)
- D/S front & rear plus p/s front aluminum trim under window scratched (NF)
- P/S exhaust tips slightly tilted
- P/S headlight chipped, but not d/s
- D/S headlight has paint overspray
- D/S right glass scratched (NF)
- Windshield chipped & repaired (poorly) & wiper scratches

from your details i would stay away im sure you could find one in better condition. This car is considered rough conidition specially having paint work. this car is worth at most 42-44k while you could sell your car for easily at least 37-44k depending on condition

Ouch, rust??? 
Had you mentioned all those problems, id say itds not even worth a straight trade considering the condition its in.
Mines a 06 500, and other than some minor stone ships on the hood, the car was immaculate when i got it, and it still is with 100k on it.
I'd look at something else if i were you.

Hey AP! Yes, I ended up getting it. Thanks to the PPI which was very worth it, my detailing guy is the most **** pro I know, I love him. He spotted out a list of things for the dealer to fix before they get it back to me. I'm picking the car up this friday, and I'm very excited. I'm not really concerned about paintwork like on my other cars, this one I'm getting because I love the engine and the performance stats, pretty much the same reasons we all love this car. I plan to mod the engine with some bits, would like the most HP increase bang for the buck if you guys can chime in. The things on the body are likely to happen sooner or later, I will just get it fixed at my pro shop if I need to. But I'm sure this engine is bulletproof. Clean Carfax, 1 owner car from lousiana. I rolled the dice on this one. I think it will make me happy over my CLS550. I just needed more "HUMP", on my cls.
